This is a gen pam 8 day; at least I think it's a gen. I love the combo of the watch with this exact strap.
Does anyone know where I can find a rep version of the watch? The strap I'm sure I can find from any of the strap dealers listed on the strap list here on the forum. But any suggestions as to what strap you think it is, any input is appreciated.

Found one from YourTrustyTime, but the date wheel is white. Is this an easy fix, or do I need to buy a new movement?

The white dial version is a... eeehhh... a special edition for Japan. Yes, that's it. A Japan special edition. Very limited.

I think it's gen! I paid $149 (including shipping) for it so I'm pretty certain it is. I got it from T4D (look here) 1½ years ago or so. Very comfortable and is one of my watches that gets most attention and positive comments.

But, the case is still too small to be a PAM127. Are are you shooting for a fantasy watch? If so, 45mm Radiomir dials fit into 44mm 1950 style cases with no modification, FYI.

Just looking on the Panerai website. Do they even make a 47mm GMT 8 day? How accurate is the rep? Also, the gen has the am/pm on the dial.

Nope. But, the rep isn't 47mm, either, if that's what you're asking. It's 44mm. As Mambo said, though, it's not a terribly accurate rep.

isnt it a 45mm with a 44mm dial.? i rmb reading on a risti's website.. or did i rmb e wrong model.. well, either way, i like e 233 as well.. just tt e rep isnt close.. sighhhh..

I really like a 212 or 253 if you're searching for 44mm 1950's style luminor case, just don't flip it over, movements are a give-away

If you want 47mm, I think the 127 is a 'must have' in any collection ...
But of course it's all up to personal taste ....

I noticed on one of the dealers website that there was a pam that had a quick release lug for the strap or bracelet. I can't find it now. Has anyone else seen this? That would make it so easy to swap straps anytime you want a different look.
