Browsing through ebay and found this 111n. The swan neck mechanism and wheels just didn't look quite right. Adjustment screw looks too short and the engravings on the caseback too shallow? What do you fellas think?

Hmmmmm, is it me or is the dagger regulator flat, do you have a shot of the movement for an angle? definitely gen parts but the dagger looks flat (thin) where it should be as thick as the swan neck spring. Maybe it is just the angle?

Looks  it was just the angle that gave an optical illusion......

That's why, when buying gen you should rather see it "personally". It'll save a lot of time and money. There's always a AD nearby the selling party. Or you can escrow the purchase and have it shipped to AD of your choice. If seller is unwilling to do so, then my friends it's a rep!

Well if the seller really is a dealer and he is trying to sell a rep as gen (without knowing better), then I guess the rep really is a super super rep.......

Delivered in a rep box.. Either the seller is a real dumbass who dosen't know the first thing about PAM's or he's hoping for a dumbass buyer.. Im guessing the latter.

I messaged seller and told him it's a rep. His response is "How do you know?".

Anyone dumb enough to get ripped off this way.... well you know what they say about fools and their money.

I did the same and got the same responce to which I replied:

"Please take the time to compare the movement to other 111s on ebay and you will see the stark differences, I am sorry to tell you that you have a replica watch there. The position of the incabloc alone is a huge red flag not to mention many other inconsistencies, please do yourself a favor and get the watch checked out before it sells and you get yourself in hot water."

Lets see what they do about it, if they don't remove the auction by tomorrow I will report it to ebay, but most times ebay does nothing, so buyer beware!

This was my response:

“There are differences in the swan neck regulator, winding wheels, crown and the engraving on caseback. Post the movement pic on a Pam forum and they can corroborate.”

He would be in Miami, figures!

Wonder if the rest of his watches are reps??

Maybe I'll go by his store tomorrow and drop some knowledge on him :p funny thing is the Seybold building is the largest jewelry complex in S.Fla maybe he just doesn't know any better???

I highly doubt this dealer doesn't know. He has got tons of auctions, all Rolex, all with their papers. Yet this one is magically missing it's papers. He knows. Miami is scam central for watch dealers.
