Thinking about a Titanium Panerai

Last night I stopped by my local AD to get something cleaned for my wife, and checked out a titanium cased Panerai with a dark brown, almost black matte dial. It was a manual wind, and I think it was basically a Pam 061 with an open case back. I loved it, a lot.

I was a bit distracted in the store and didn't write down the model number, but i remember it was a Luminor with seconds only on the dial.

What I'm looking for: A titanium case, closed case back (to avoid any tells on the movement), matte dial. My plan is to get a good aftermarket strap or maybe an OEM one, I was impressed with the oem straps I checked out last night. I've done some reading and looking on TDs sites, it sounds like the Noob versions of these titanium watches are the best overall? Is there anything I should know about these or look for?

Are there any "must have" gen parts or minds these need?

Thanks!

If those three are your criteria, its going to be tough -- 040, 056 & 061 come to mind. If you don't mind a hobnail dial or power reserve with center seconds and date, the 057 may be an option. Could it have been the 564 you were looking at? That movement looks pretty decent albeit without the power reserve function.

All three are first class reps, no one is better than the other. So it will all come down to personal taste.

Yep, you're right, I was looking at the 564. I'll compare how the movement looks in the rep vs gen tonight, I'm sure there are some threads out there, I just need to get on a computer instead of my phone to search more easily.

Would it be possible or practical to switch out the case back for a closed case back? I would think a TD could sell me one so long as they fit...
