I just got the word from Hont today.
I was actually hoping that I´d get one of those babies before they went out of stock.

So what now?
When will production be up and running again?
Will the quality be the same, or will it be less?
Is it realistic to hope for the watches being built with the same parts next batch?

They are just sold out. From what I hear, is they will be ready after the CNY. But thats good news because the 005 is suppose to be released after the CNY as well. So we can save on shipping

Lay is shut for the chinese holidays but I just ordered one from puretime a couple of days ago, still waiting for the QC pics. They should have more in stock, good luck!

The 177L is sold out from all dealers. it will be 6 or 8 weeks for more. The 219L is the same maker, price, and quality. Even better perhaps as the steel keeps the noise lower than the lightweight titanium. The destro look is interesting, it does not have to be exclusively for lefties, with all respect to the southpaws out there.

I thought that most rep "titanium" watches are just brushed SS. Am I wrong? I'm seriously curious, because my Rad is a rep of a gen titanium Pam, but it's just SS with a heavy brush pattern.

I ordered and paid just after you nick, no word from Hont though but if they are all sold out ill opt for the 005. I was debating whether to wait for it anyway. It seems the rep gods have spoken a closed cb is closer to gen.

Me too mate I wanted the 177L for 2 reasons Ti case and closeness to gen looking at all apart from the mvt.
Hopefully the 005 will be from the same factory (177,219,288) then it should in theory be the first super rep of 2011. I have faith in you rep factories make the 005 a good one.

Sounds like a plan!
I also have a Pam 236K on order, but I told the dealer to hold on to it until after CNY as I don´t want it to get lost in a pile of packages at the airport...
So maybe I should save some money and add the 005 at the same time!

I´d most definitely wait until after CNY.
Let him have his holiday.

Besides, this is a bit of a gamble:
Lets say you want the 005 instead, and send him an email to change for the 005 and the 005 doesn´t show up. Then you´d be wanting the 177 anyway.
But if the 005 shows up, and you do want it, you´d be better of sending Hont an email telling him not to send your 177, but to wait for the 005 instead if it shows up soon.

It all depends on when the 005 shows up. And, which one you want of course.
I´m still waiting for mu 177,I figure I can get the 005 later, as nobody really can guarantee that it will be available after CNY.

No shortage of 177L just the factory hiked the price a little before the New Year because they was a shortage if dealers were willing to pay there were plenty available
