The Ultimate PAM 88 GMT

Hi all,

I am considering getting a PAM 88 GMT but which do you think in your opinion, out of the trusted dealers, have the ultimate PAM 88 GMT, and why?

I've seen pics of the 88 from DSN and also from PureTime..the price varies between 300 - 450..i know that supposedly higher-valued reps are better in terms of construction and in the materials used as well as accuracy to the gens..

it's a dilemma....help/comments/advice would be definitely appreciated.. =)

I have one from DSN. For the money, I like it....good lume, CG and overall feel of quality.

Any wrist shots of the 88? How about the AR? From DSN's pictures, it seems like there is a pretty thick bluish tint on the AR..is there any on yours?

Also is the cyclops magnification accurate?

The cyclops and date font on the "Ultimate" versions are better than on DSN's version, IMO.

I'd go with the "Ultimate" version and just plan on getting a relume.

DSN dial is better than the ulimate IMO. I would buy an ultimate and get DSN dial, and then relume

wow..thanks for the input ppl..i see getting the Ultimate from Puretime and DSN seems the way to go..any one here who has gotten the PAM 88 from either of these dealers?

So it is safe to say that the case, hands, strap, spring bars, CG, etcc...are much better from Ultimate but the Dial is a must from DSN..

would be great to see pictures pls... =)

there's a comparison somewhere on the ultimate (cartel ) version and the dsn.....
search and you will find
if I'm not mistaking, the gen is in that comparison too..

Depend how much you want to spend , for me Dsn dial+ hand,t48 , base 88, toro cg, dsn crystal + TAKA Ar , taka dw ,and send all to Vac Lume+ service.

The crystal on the non-DSN "Ultimate" is better, IMO.

First, what is your budget.
DSN is good straight from the box and only $350-something

If details matter more to you and you have the time and money go the cartel Ultimate, DSN dial (His silver subdial is better than the ultimates - ultimates have better hands), T48 crown, TB crownguard, lume, AR and probably not much change from $900 with fees and postage.

Remember to include the cost of luming the ultimate in the final price, because if you do nothing else it should at least be lumed. Lume is one of the great things about Pams. Thats around $150ish depending on whom. DSN you can just wear as is and be happy. I think you can buy pre-modded/pre-lumed watches from vaccum and Goin check their sections in the dealers area and email them.
