I have a personal bias against large watches. So seeing these on ebay nearly wrenched my balls.

Well, it's all proportionate to your wrist size. I can wear a 48MM watch and it doesn't looks retarded. Those you are showing us, except for the first one, are just plain silly. But a watch like a Super Avenger, Cartier Santos, DSSD, PAM's , all look good on the right size wrist.

I agree, if you've got a 9" wrist, you shouldn't be wearing 35mm watches. If you've got a 7" wrist, you shouldn't be wearing 45mm watches.

IMHO of course ;)

I have one VERY similar to #3. It crapped out on me after about a year of abuse.

I love wearing my 65mm watch on my 6" wrist. I store my cigarettes and lighter in the gap between my lugs and wrist.

My wrist is just a bit shy of 8". I wear everything from my 36mm gen DJ to my 52mm Invicta which I had on today.
It's all a matter of taste and comfort.

The part that makes those very unattractive to me? "Quartz" on the dial.... Bleh!

Every person is different and ever wrist is different... My wrist is right shy of 7.5" and a 47mm Pam fits me well.. The 127 and 187 look right at home on my wrist given proper attire... 44mm Pams fit like a glove in any situation.

I think we all should have others judge whether watches look good on us. I'm sure whoever buys ridiculously huge watches think those look good on them, too.

If the watch's diameter (from top lugs to bottom lugs) is greater than the diameter of your wrist, it ain't gonna look good, sorry :(

Diesel sells a lot of huge, multi-dialed watches like these.
I guess most of us are too old to see the attraction.

I'm not into large watches either.. they look a little silly to me even on big wrists. The ones in the OP would be cool for a kid though, like 12 or so.

My point is that it's seems strange to say, "I wear XYZ and it looks great on me." Of course you think it looks great, if you didn't you wouldn't be wearing it. Just the other day I saw a guy with tight cut-off denim shorts and a white tank top tucked into the shorts and I'm sure he thought that outfit looked great on him.

The only way to tell fo' sho' is to have other (disinterested) people comment on your outfit and/or watch. This isn't easy to have done, of course.

But lots of guys with skinny wrists and huge-ass watches might be walking around looking like fools and not even knowing it.

Are you insane ? Why would any of us care what a random disinterested stranger has to say about our watches ? Do you suffer from a 6" wrist or something ? Look at the picture you posted. Does it look anything like this ?

I feel like somebody preaching against bellbottoms in 1978. In 30 years people will look back on the watches of today and feel the same way you feel when viewing this photo:

They thought that looked good too.

How long has the Big Egi been around ? How long has Breitling been offering the Navitimer, Montbrillant, Bentley ? How long has Panerai been making watches ? I have an 8" wrist. Stop forcing me to wear your Hello Kitty watches.
