The new rep pam straps

There have been photos of new style straps with pams. they look better than the normal rep straps. here are two examples from lay's site.

can anyone who has bought one of these in any of the colors comment on the quality? better than normal? any info would be appreciated.

I bought the Pam 005k from lay with the leather strap as an option and let me tell you that the extra $20 I paid for it was worth it! The quality it's pretty good and again for the price you pay you cannot go wrong!

It looks like they're comparable to the premium straps Getat sells. I do wish they would come out with a pure black with vintage or white stitch though.

They are OK. a lot better than the pleather we use to buy

I got the same strap with my 177L. The strap is nice for a few days... once it gets wet, the color changes permanently. It also gets oxidized pretty quickly. I stopped using it after 2 weeks.

thanks for your info guys. i think i am going to pay the extra little bit of cash and get one. the stock one i will never use so if i get some use from this it makes sense to me. i have some really nice polish for the dark brown one. hopefully it will extend the life a bit. thanks again and i will post my opinion when i use it for a bit.

I'd probably just get a rubber one, save the $20, and invest in a nice custom brown leather one. That way I have more choices/can match with more clothes.

well i got it, the strap is not bad. honestly the 24mm buckle is worth the extra 15 bucks. nice engraving ect... the strap was in bad need of some lovin, so i put like 3 coats of my uber bavarian leather polish on it. it sucked it up rapidly. after some buffing it's not bad. the leather is cheap and not of the best quality. 4/10 maybe. but the buckle is great and will go nicely on other straps i buy... worth the extra cash in my opinion. thanks for all your input guys.

I have a Getat and a 005k with the black rep strap. I can tell you the Getats are a lot thicker and not as flexible/forgiving as the rep.
