The new PAM's are off the charts

I am a long time rep collector and, in particular, PAM collector. But in the past couple years, I've laid off the hobby, mainly because I'm a perfectionist and I couldn't stand the numerous flaws that were present in even the best modded pam reps.

Well, the new H factory pams have brought me back, and in a big way. My 26 arrived last week and my 318 arrived this morning. I'm simply blown away by not what only appears to be an elimination of almost all previous flaws, but an actual increase in production quality as well.

Both of my new pams have meticulously machined crown guards and crowns - something that was often lacking in my previous watches. The lume actually GLOWS. I'd say it rivals (but may not quite be equal with) the Ziggy lumed pams I have owned. The lume isn't an ugly green, and the AR isn't blue. Dial font is spot on, and "l swiss l' placement is identical to the gen-at least in my eye.

The vast and sudden improvement in these PAM reps is something I thought we'd never see. I was convinced that the rep factories were deliberately fixing one flaw while creating another--an attempt to string us along, getting us to buy more and more reps and the quality of the watches slowly improved. These watches completely undermine that theory. In my opinion, PAM's just went from some of the poorest out-of-the-box reps to possibly the very best.

The only let down is the lower quality, low beat asian movements, but these can be easily replaced with swiss movements for a couple hundred bucks or less. And at the unbelievable price-point these watches are selling for, it's a completely minor concern.

Here are a few pictures.

Yep Pams have come a long way in the last 3 years. The new 005, 219, 288K 318, 026k, 177H, and the newly awaited 177M. You should also take a look at the the new 359M, and 320, these come from a different factory, but with Angus from Puretimes involvement these are something else also.

Tell me about it, i've sunk a lot of time and money into the older reps (DSN, EL, Little Hero) to make near perfect and these things are coming out for about $200 that dont need a thing. Hell, i've picked up a few of the H factory crystals and crown guards as well as the noob factory case sets for other pams I have, making them 'better' with cartel parts is crazy!

I just hope they keep pumping out different models! Bring on some base dials (000, 112, 176), a fiddy and a really good sub!

Dont forget about these NOOB factory pams either, their chrono models are amazing as is the 111J (they just need new lume).

Nice watches. I have a couple, but I am thoroughly confused, because besides the obvious, they all mostly look the same to me. Maybe one day I will note the differences.

Nice watches. I have a couple, but I am thoroughly confused, because besides the obvious, they all mostly look the same to me. Maybe one day I will note the differences.

Sandwich dial, sausage dial, logo dial, running seconds, dlc, polished, brushed, luminor case, 1950s case, radiomir case - just to name a few cosmetic differences.

Thanks, they are actually iphone pics--not bad, for a cell phone at all. The 318 is on a Mario Paci strap and the 26 is on a Europelli (great value for the money).

Hey, fifty6: Nice-looking Pams; I'm not really a fan, but these ARE great. BTW, where did you pick them up? I'd like to go to the site & check them out. Thanks.

I totally agree with the OP. My 26K is unreal. I know that we read this next statement on these boards often, but it's never been truer.....

Pics will never do the 26K justice. It's fantastic.
