Hello guys! Currently I'm starting my own watch business and decides to launch the first product based on the original FF

BPFF2Master-1-copy-624x664.jpg

if any of you guys got the original or a rep of FF or Tornek-Rayville - I would be glad if I can see their method of locking their caseback and the bezel system works. I already get the original dimension but can't find the original to make sure that I make it just like the original version

best regards,

Check the Blancpain thread. Plenty of picks. It's an antimagnetic screw down caseback, screw down inner movement protector

Several folks have tried this before, there was a guy on RWG several years ago that had plans similar to yours. He wanted to produce a case that was dimensionally correct, and a dial that was as close to perfect as possible. He ran into problems getting cases made as most case makers aren't interested in production runs of less than several hundred cases, at least not at a price point that is reasonable.

Someone in Vietnam is building a very, very good vintage BP FF. In fact from what the genuine forums claim, quite a big percentage of the "Genuine" vintage BP FF's that sell on Ebay are actually new watches that are made in Vietnam.

I would love to have a correct vintage. I cannot come close to affording a gen. Also most folks are not going to use a 10 + K vintage as and everyday wearer. A new one that is and exact copy of a vintage, now that's another deal. Another thing, BP built a lot of different variations of the FF in those early years. Most were military contract watches, and they built to specs that each countries armed forces wanted. A good example of that is the Tornek Rayville. The US Government regulations required that a certain percentage of each watch be composed of parts manufactured in the USA. I believe the TR was assembled in the USA under license from BP.

Good luck with your endeavor. I hope you succeed.

Hello, thank you

Yes, currently I already have the correct measurement for the case size and how they shaped. However, due to unable to find the gen units, I will use bezel mechanism copying the current model FF. I will also have to ensure that it will fit with Sellita SW200 series that I will use in mechanical series.

I will try to be as close as possible. I'm still curious, however - regarding the bezel. How they make it? was it alumunium or a painted steel? because if its a painted lume in the bezel, that would prone to scratching and chipping. Do they use somekind of coating?
