- V2 bracelet end links sit higher at lugs with a slight gap
V3
- released mid July 2012
- V3 clasp "swiss made" corrected as two words - Swiss Made
- V3 clasp code PJ4
- V3 SEL is 20.15mm Gen is 20mm
- Sterile SEL - No engravings inside SEL
- V3 Clasp coronet not as protruding as V2
V4
- V4 bracelet is new maker
- It has variances and needs to be matched with the case to fit well.
- V4 has improved/ more gen like clasp coronet
- V4 first link does not fold all the way into case lugs correctly.
TC DWO's:
V1 &V2
- V1 and V2 DWO are a tad left justified, corrected by moving the dial slightly to the left.
- V1 and V2 were supplied by original 16610 mid case maker
- white base color darker than gen
V3
Introduced in June 2013 by new supplier
- improved date font with more sarif. - still slightly left justified in window
- white base color incorrect
V4
V4 DWO starting on (sub V6)
- has correct white base colour
- font like genuine
- per gen print raised in high gloss
- correctly centered
TC Versions:
- Original versions may have used the ETA 2876, used in ladies watches.
- Ealier factory direct 16610LV case with crown inset high between lugs and too deep (case tube) in case
- TC started using the V series case and LV parts to make V series 1 LV watches.
- Same case as Wm9V3, same maker?
- 2012 LN inserts not yet to gen spec per TC, TC recommends it's worth using a gen insert
- original TC crystals pretty much standard rep quality- not amazing
- TC 16610LN V4 case introduced around mid 2012
- 16610LV type 3 introduced June/July 2013
It had TC2824 with H4, DWO V3, TC V4 bracelet, TC bezel assembly with custom click spring.
- TC still recommends a gen LN or LV insert
- In Aug., 2013 TC began running out of both dials and started piecing together his best from multiple reject dials
- Introduced V5 16610LN
- Not clear that these are not using the KH dials
- Nov 2013 - KH dials introduced only on the Caddell Sub models-
25-295, 25-286, 25-295 rouge, 25-286 rouge
TC introduced TC Sub LN & LV Insert V2. The V1 is the insert put on TC Sub builds from TC Sub V6's 2014 debut to the end of 2015.
The TC V2 Insert. There is a tiny chamfer that surrounds the pearl holder on the top
- TC V616610LN Officially began using the KH dials on Aug 25,2014 -
The 2016 TC Sub Case has all the correct measurement between the lugs, top to bottom outer diameter, 20.05mm (+/-0.02mm) gen spec lug distance.
- made and machined in china , the final brushing, polishing is done in the United States
TC said:
"Two years ago, TC Sub V6 was born. That specific date is Aug 25, 2014. With the birth of the V6 it caused quite a sensation on the forums. Many members claimed the V6 was almost perfect, gen like, some even said to me the work is done
I cannot deny the fact with the help of my Scottish friend supplying the Kensington High dials, it really took TC Sub a major leap forward."
- TC V6 w/ KH dial, TCV1 insert, DWO V4
- 2015 TCV2 insert with chamfered pearl holder introduced
Per TC:
"I decided to implement the improved parts bit by bit to the TC builds without saying anything. For those members who have been receiving the TC builds in the past eight or so months, you have actually been getting the V7 specs on both the 16610 and the 16610LV, less probably TC 16610 & 16610LV Hands Set V3 and the 2016 KH 16610 and 16610LV dials."
Aug 2016 TC V7 introduced
- Case won't take gen 3135 movement screws
- better bezel, deeper scallops
- Capped H4 pinion
- TC hand set V3
- KH dials (2016)
- New V6 bracelet and improved V6 clasp to fit Case lugs 20.05 of V6 sub case
- PA bezel assembly V1 - requires a "break-in" period as the bezel is extremely tight and hard to turn.
Sterile Case
TC noted:
"With PA Bezel Assembly, my gun maker friend matches the bezel ring and the retaining ring with what he called military spec tight tolerance. "
PA Bezel Assembly V2 and TC Sub V7 Extreme
- PA Bezel V2 = ultra refined inner gears
- Deeper scallops to match Rolex bezel scallops beginning with the V series 16610 subs.
TC notes:
"So the idea of forming PA Bezel Assembly V2's look, scallops depth that is, had transformed to another level.
PA Bezel Assembly V2 on TC Sub V7 Extreme, The way it turns, the hand feel, the operational feedback, and the clicking sound. It is just so gen like."
TC V7 extreme
- The TC V7X is great in every way except for the internal design which is totally stupid as it makes it near impossible to install a gen or Yuki movement. There are two cutouts on the inside of the case near 7 and 2 which are where the mounting screws go for the movement, a genuine case has one cutout at 9. It's almost as if someone intentionally made this case so a gen movement would not fit. However a very good watchmaker can make it fit.
