As far as I know there is no really good rep of the Speedmaster. Esp the subdials are always wrong.

Try the Pagani Design 1701.
It might be sufficient to scratch that itch. It's cheap and helps you keep waiting.

I think the “Racing” sub dials look better to be honest. Been looking at them all weekend and the “Racing”‘looks a lot closer to the Gen and Ñ my humble opinion.
At the end of the day it’s really something that will mostly only be in your mind.
I have several Gen pieces and a few Reps in my collection and I can’t ever recall when ANYONE in all my years asked if they could look at my dial, or for me to take off my watch,,It just doesn’t happen.
That being said, I may pull the trigger on a Speedy Racing this week. I’ve become obsessed with getting a Panda / reverse Panda that reminds me of a Daytona, without it actually being a Daytona.
I agree with you on this. What TD would you be using for the racing? Do you have a preferred factory?
Panda speedie…. Or if you hunting another Daytona type… also look at Tudor chrono
ah thats a gen 1992 3510.50 .... the other is a rep Tudor Monte Carlo built for me by Drvintage .... advantage of the Tudor is that it comes with a Rolex Oyster bracelet and crown so its much more like a Daytona style
That speedy is really nice, I hadn’t considered one before I saw it on your wrist, can be picked up for a pretty reasonable price tooPanda speedie…. Or if you hunting another Daytona type… also look at Tudor chrono
lovely in the flesh, smaller than daytona and the bracelet only 18mm... so depending on wrist size this is a good or bad thing. if you have huge wrists it may look a tad small. but mine at 7.5" and seems to fit me ok

I enjoy whenever a thread gets posted for the 'best speedy" and we all end up getting out gens outlovely in the flesh, smaller than daytona and the bracelet only 18mm... so depending on wrist size this is a good or bad thing. if you have huge wrists it may look a tad small. but mine at 7.5" and seems to fit me ok

I most likely will go with Hont, I’ve used him a few times and it’s always been smooth.
