which portugieser is the closest to the gen?
including the movement and the looks.
The best Portuguese replica is the one you like the most. Anything else does not matter. None of us can know what you put most weight on. Every replica will have some good and some bad.
If by "best" you mean the replica that can fool everybody into believing it is a gen, then you are buying for completely the wrong reason.

I am sorry for not being more specific.
I want a rep that does not have a complication that does not work. So, no perpetual calendar or chronographs.
Also, it has to be very similar to a gen (NWBIG or Super rep).
Thank you for the reply!

No probs. I have had ans still have few that are from ZF. Very good replicas and good quality. You are completely rigth yo stay away from perpetual. All ZF protuguise up to the "annual calendar" are fully functional.

But I saw from another post that the chronograph does not work is it right?
And according to this spreadsheet some seem to be better than others.

The ZF chronograph works like a charm. The spreadsheet shows what we told you: ZF. Tourbillon and perpetual stay away from.

If you think you know the answer, what is the purpose here in your first post?
I do not think that the spreadsheet is correct because I read other reviews. So, I wanted to know for sure which information to trust and maybe an explanation as to why they differ from each other.
I am sorry if I disturbed your feelings.

My feelings are perfectly fine buddy, i wrote to help and save your time in the first place. You could articulate your thoughts properly, and ask for elaboration on specifics that you are wondering rather than but this says this. Not even mentioning there are tons of material in the forum, and this question probably asked numerous times but you did not search for it. Anyways, welcome to the forum :)

Welcome to the forum @schwenstein and @nosearch. There is a lot of good info on this site and many knowledgeable members willing to help out.

The Portuguese have a few different complications:
  1. There are working Power Reserve indicators. They work, from the perspective of counting down the reserve from 100% to 0%, but these don't have a 7-day reserve. The Big Pilot has the same movement and power reserve and mine keeps about 72 hours. So, if it says you have 3 days left on the indication, it's more like a little more than a day or so. You would never be able to notice this unless you were looking at the watch without interruption for at least 12-hours. So, this isn't a tell.
  2. The chronographs, from my understanding, all work correctly.
  3. As do the annual calendar and advanced complications. But those all cost well over $50k or more in GEN. So, you have to ask yourself, if people see me wearing a watch that cost the same as a 3-series BMW, will they believe that it is GEN? And I agree with the post above just stay away from these from the perspective of reliability.
The 40mm chronos are pretty accurate and the 42 with power reserve are considered NWBIG.

Use the TDs on the site to find the models you want. In my experience, JTime has a really good site with filters to do research. I haven't purchased from them, so this isn't a TD recommendation, I just like their site: https://jtime.io/

These are considered good reps (lots of color options): https://jtime.io/us/portuguese-iw371606-ss-zf-1-1-best-edition-blue-dial-on-ss-bracelet-a96355.html. These are the power reserve models that I believe are still considered NWBIG (also multiple colors): https://jtime.io/us/portuguese-real...edition-on-black-leather-strap-a52010-v2.html

Wow thank you so much for the detailed reply!
Are you saying that the pereptual calendar also works? I saw in some reviews that the moon is not right and the year only goes upto 2028.
I really appreciate your kindness. :)

No. We are all saying the same thing "Stay away from perpetual" :) What you wrote about moonphase and year is correct, plus month does not advance on the 31st (you have to do it yourself), of course is not perpetual (does not know anything about months length and leap years) and quality is seriously bad.

I had a ZF 7 day and except for the sunken date wheel, it was perfect. Such a fantastic watch. I only wish it were smaller.

how old was it? I heard they fixed the date wheel.
I bought it last year. Used it for a few months and then sold it because it was too chunky and classy for me. It was a fantastic watch though. Had absolutely no issues except for the bad strap. But yes. I compared it to a gen and the date wheel was very slightly sunken. In the gen, it's almost like the date wheel is touching the bottom of the dial (there was no gap at all). In mine, there was a very slight gap. It wasn't bad at all like reps from other brands (like Breitling for example). But it was there.
