This movement has two different kinds 6497-1 and 6497-2 ? A low beat and a high beat one? Or there is only a single kind of 6490 mvt.?
And my second question: the asian clone of the 6490 is reliable? Keeps time better than a 7750 high beat, for example?

Yes, high-beat and low-beat. High beat being the better one, especially for later series Panerai reps. Older low-beat Asian copies are the least desirable. Asian movement is just as good as the ETA one after it has been inspected and serviced by a watchsmith.

Can't compare 6497 to 7750, two completely different types of movements.

I reckon the 6470 asian is far better than the 7750, simply because the 7750 has more parts to go wrong - if you are a watchsmith then teh 7750 is great.......

Using that logic one would conclude that a glider is far better than an F-117, or that a go-kart is better than a Porsche. Except to mechanics of course :)

If you would have to choose between a PAM with a low beat 6497 mvt. and a PAM with a low beat 7750 mvt., what would you choose? Which one keeps time better?

Both can probably be regulated to be accurate +/- a second or two. If you need a higher accuracy, go digital.

I own both manual and auto watches, and don't prefer one type of movement over the other, it is more the look of the watch that makes me chose which to wear that day. As I rarely wear a watch two days in a row, the power reserve on a manual wind is more than adequate for my needs. Besides, it takes no effort at all to set or wind any watch and doing so give you a little interaction with your favourite timepieces :)

However, as you now mention the low-beat Asian 7750, I would not recommend purchasing one of those as it is the high-beat versions that are the better built and more reliable pieces from what I've heard. Then again you will always get the occasional person who has had no problem at all with them, and who may even have had more problems with the high-beat ones .... :D But in general most of the watchsmiths on the various rep fora agree that the high-beat A7750 is the preferred movement.
