I believe River has a cheapy under $300 that is bare bones. I'd suggest saving your pennies and contacting henio.

Henios work is seriously impressive; I received my 6152/1 yesterday and simply love it.

I'm gonna retype out the jist of my PM to you so that others have the info.....

I have personally dealt with Henio for some time now and own a bunch of his pieces. For those in the CONUS, he is really the one to go to for custom builds/vintage builds. He will be able to get you almost any movement you want (of course price is huge deal here depending on how crazy you want to get), has amazing paint-ups on the dials. Can age the watch/dial/hands/plexi to any degree depending on you wants and needs. Just PM him and let him know what you are looking for and he'll probably be able to come through better than you could have ever expected. It does help to send a reference pic.

I also have a blackshark custom piece (purchased on M2M). Another stellar custom vintage piece. I believe he is located in the EU though.

Another vote for Henio building something for you. I have several of his pieces and another in the works he is building for me. You can go light vintage or heavy, depending on what you want to do.
some examples for you:
this is a builds that he made for me using a 372 superclone that was gutted and reformed using a Swiss eta6497

A Rolerai using a Moly 3601 with treated hands

An LPMM using a Swiss 6497 with custom Hamilton 920 engravings

I might as well show some dirty pics of my Henio builds as well.....
Group shot:

6154 fronts (cream dial, LPB dial, and Rolerai)

mini6154 bronze and brass builds (LMP bronze and RP "watermelon" brass)

Also in the group shot, a 2533 Rolerai with snowflake lume, a 2533 skull/rose ross dial, and a 5517 rollie build (one of my absolute favorites).

i placed a custom 6154 order with black_shark who's a member here about 3 weeks ago, and i received the pics of the completed project this morning. if you didn't already know, black_shark has made a lot of vintage builds and put them up for sale in the sales section, 6154, 6152, 3466, 2533 etc. all beautiful pieces. i decided to get a custom piece done to mimic the radium ring burn effects that are found on some of the gen 6154s, and gave him a few pics to use as reference while painting the dial for my watch. i also requested a swiss 6497 movement, and he used a "hammered" decorated swiss movement, imo makes it look rugged and vintage and pretty unique if i do say so myself. anyway, without further ado, here are some pics:

in short, OP if you're looking for a 6154 build, do consult black_shark (his real name is Stefanos) as he does amazing work, or of course any of the other builders mentioned earlier. either way i'm sure you won't be disappointed!

Thanks guys for all info included in this thread and sharing these magnificent pics

As you can see there are several and interesting options to get these fantastic builds

And if you consult homageforum, as Grim recommends, you will get more

There are many ways (them all completely different) to enjoy the PAM reps. PANERAI really is an awesome brand

Good luck

+1 on black_shark, I have a couple of his builds and they are great.
He works less on the case than Henìo though, so you may consider this as well in your choice :)

Wow this is great information and your pictures are truly beautiful Thank You all.....But now what? Its a lot to take in and will take a while to analyze the direction I'm going to take. One watch that has caught my eye is the 424 California with logo and ShooBoo's Fiddy. Feel free to throw more thoughts my way :)

if you like the 424, just get a 448 rep. It looks like a stellar rep and is getting overall positive feedback.

Lol Grim, I'm spending more time on HF now, mainly because of my deepening addiction to vintage Pams. I'm amazed by some of our RWI members knowledge and craftsmanship (BlueRaddish) Wow, just wow!!!!!

Take a look at Henio's recent posting of the 2533 he is building. That would give you another possibility to consider.
