Let's give you some homework so you can decide for yourself and educate us in the process. Looking at these pictures which looks closest to gen?

Honestly, I don't even know if you can get the V4-V3-V2 or older models anyway. But I think if you look closely at the dials you will see the best answer to your question. Hint, the horny toad has pointed toes. The Princess is flat footed so her toes are nice and flat. ;)

5th gen PO, what is good? Way too wide open of a question. Looks good to me. Lay said the 5th gen dial is not available for separate purchase so... The princess has flat feet and pretty flat toes. I would rather court and sport the princess over the horny toad myself.

Congrats you win a date with knowledge. ;)

no idee when for a V6 ... but what a V6 should have more than V5 ...
- better pearl
- better bezel (teeth)
- better black dial color
- better lume on Dial and hands
- better windows for date wheel (check my project Franken and look at the gen dial ...)
- better datewhaeel (bold and brigth caraters)

I've just looked through your UPO Franken project and I'm impressed. The watch looks great. I agree with you on what improvements need to be made, although I will probably only change the datewheel and the pearl/bezel.

Although the v5 is a great rep already, let's hope there is a v6 coming out soon! :)

my advice for a franken is : in the preference order :
- Dial - because of the extra lume
- hands - because of the extra lume
- Gen saphir - or a good double AR
- Datewheel - as it is a big tell
- a good insert aftermaket - with a good pearl (cheaper that a gen bezel)
- a nice used gen rubber strap
- He valve only if you want to full waterproof the PO
- crown + tube is a plus
- And last "cheery on the cake " but expensive ... the case back ... :)

Thanks for this, I'll take it into consideration when modding mine. However, the gen dial is 200Euro, which is just as much as the watch itself costs! :(

@Cee

Well my HBB Icebang started as a 700$ rep and ended up at 1700$ and counting....
Still missing the correct caseback and an engraved bridge so looking at 200$ if I´m unlucky.
But damn do I love my watch :D

wow, big money! I'm sure it is worth it though. Most Hublots are already really good replica's so I'm sure yours looks 99% gen by now!

I guess if you can afford it then theres no problem. I will probably spend a decent amount of cash on gen parts when I recieve my UPO. It will be my first franken, but I'm sure if it goes well it definitely won't be my last! :)

When I asked Lay for an update on mine he said they would be in stock on Monday. So you may as well just wait like the rest of us...
