This is the 2008 Super Avenger

What do the breitling fans think? Not really sure myself.... :? Although think I prefer the black ocean racer strap!

I wonder how long it will take the factories to catch up with this change?

Looks good. It looks a little more dressy than the 2007. The big numbers on the 07 makes it look a little more like a tool than the new one.

Very nice though.

A SA in blacksteel would be a bad boy!!!!!! :D

according to my AD, the 2008's are available in either stick markers or numeral markers. The stick marker version apparently is not a hot seller like the numeral dial. I recently bought a 2008 Superavenger NHLpa (players edition) numbered watch and its got the numerals on the dial along with the NHL logo dial and numbered caseback.

The Breitling website also shows ALL the super avengers with numerial markers on the dials.

Not fan of stick markers on the new SA, prefer the 2007 model with numbers.

BTW, Breitling site used to show both number and stick dial SA versions. Stick dial version was under "New in 08" section. It has been removed since last week, reason unknown so far.

cheers,
babola

Yeah, not a fan of that, personally.

It's OK, though, the SA is simply too big for me anyway...

I like the 2007 much better, the color of the subdials gives the dial a better look as all black.
Also, I like the numbers

I'm also not a fan of the new 2008 either. Though it is large enough, the numbers helped with easy readability. I also don't like that the dial is just an enlarged skyland dial (check out the upcoming blacksteel version). But I guess you could say the same about the B-1 and the Emergency, though.

Agreed - numbers version is head over heels in comparison - who says newer is always better?

newer is not better...but they will sell many more watches for the potential Breitling lover / collector that loves classic stick - markers.

I like the numbers better and with the contrasting dial/subdial colors.

Any chance of seeing a picture or two of this watch please.
