This ia my new pvd project for the 1950.This time i am making it slightly different PVd finishing
as from the Pre V pvd on the 44mm watches.Basically i am using a more fine Bead blasting on the 1950 case.
.Hope you can see the differnce bewteen the pre v and the 1950 Pvd.

Is it just me or are Davidsen's pics getting better?

I love the the looks. I also anxiously await your formal delivery of this and the non-PVD units.

It may be an optical illussion, as we do not have a top picture, but those hands look a bit too long to me.

Any chances you could take a top picture, David San?

Many thanks.

Great looking, David San.

This PVD model has the much discussed dial you showed on your first 1950 thread (it has the small hole on the subdial). Will this be the dial you go with on your final version of the PVD and NON-PVD 1950, or will you go with the one now depicted on your non-pvd 1950 thread?

I took a ruler out (during lunch break) and took a few dial measurements on your pic and the gen 1950 picture. Based on my measurements, and ASSUMING the outside bezel is 47mm., this dial pictured here has the markers too close to the center, which makes the hands look too large.

According to my measurements, your markers are about 2 mm (2.4) too close to the center, accounting for the way too long look of the hands, and that imperfection on the seconds subdial near number "9".

The hour hand should BARELY touch the markers and the minute hand should NOT go over the markers. I'd say thats about 2mm. Keep in mind your shot is not perfectly straight on, so my numbers aren't either.

In short, you have to move the markers (and numbers) about 2mm to the outside. I can give more exact numbers from a dead on shot.

I hope this is of any help :)
