Nice pics and watch

Could you explain the origin of the parts and the modds ?
It would be appreciated

In order to get more info about current rep sausage dials, could you confirm if the rep dial lume has more or less a structure as showed in below pic, as I think?

Looks more like the one on the right of your pic to me with slightly flatter lume. No matter how good the sausage dial reps are, they are still far from gen. Gen will always have that 'coin stamped' effect while reps look more like a shallow sandwich to me. The recessed lume on gen dials are also very smooth and consistent unlike rep dials. If the shown dial on the pics is gen, then i assume the lighting might not show the texture properly.

Good point Ale!
I would like to know if the lume on sausage dials lasts longer than the sandwich dial or is actually the same?
I know they use the same kind of lume on both dial but i was wondering if the structure of each dial has something to do with the lume.

this dial was taken from a gen part out. The 005 dials have seen many
changes over the years in Lume size and shape. Early G series had a few variations with a long arrow logo and fat Lume markers. Later came the thinner Lume dials some a slight green hue and then coming in white. Current models are creamy white. The construction on this one is a stamped plate with filled in Lume. What pics are hard at capturing are the slightly glossy edges of the marker cutouts. Then the Lume is filled in and recessed slightly below the surface on the dial face. Only OP gets this detail right. So when you look at the dial from the side profile it's nearly
flush with the surface of the dial. I've seen more than 10-12 gen 000 and 005 dials over the years and none of them were exactly the same. The service part dials actually have a dipped in style edge to the markers as well. I recently
did a gen dial 000 and there was a satin finish around the edges of the cutouts. This particular 005 dial is almost identical to a friends 036 gen dial seen here:

notice on this L 36 dial you can see the slight gloss edges of the Lume recession.

Hope this helps Ale.

Also one thing to note is the concaved center cannon piñon hole. There is an indent in the center dial hole where the plate is stamped. You can see that indent here:

And the flush to surface Lume:

compare to my gen 104 dial which is made different. This will be the next build as the noob 104 is on the way and will use this with the gen cg (now polished) and crown from the 005 part out. The previous 005 build I did had a gen full case set with crystal using only rep caseback and hands. The rest was Swiss ETA 6497 and gen parts.

Yes, I agree. Very good examination Chef. The cutout of stamped dials is different from rep dials, even from the best (last HF and old KW).
Looking this 005 dial here and on the sale thread, imho is a gen.

I have already posted below in another thread

Regarding dial the markers overall seems a bit thinner than gen ones, mainly the lume markers on seconds subdial @9 . See the distance between the stick marker @8 and the lower marker of the seconds subdial @9. This distance is shorter in gen dial (due to the thickness of the markers)

PAM%20005-NC-GEN--%20copiar_zpsfxbo6dy2.jpg

There are also, as Trailboss says, some flaws in lume application in 7 and 8 stick markers

But the current rep sausage dials, although they have completely different structure from gen, have an external appearance on pics, and under some lighting conditions, really closed to the gen.
Due to that I cannot be 100% sure it is rep. (anyway I see some differences in "6" with the gen)
In the hand and mainly with a loupe the identification is easier

Not noticed these details, thanks. Regarding the lume flaws, perhaps the dial could be pre-owned, worked badly in the past.
Frankly, to say if this dial is 100% genuine or not, we should have better pics and look even the back side. The graphics of the dials has slightly changed over time.
