Just got my third watch from Joshua delivered earlier today. Great transaction as always. Watch arrived very welled packed and so far everything seams to be working perfectly.

Will definitely buy my 4th, 5th, 6th etc etc watch from Joshua. 100% when it comes to customer service, both before and after. Answers email's incredible fast and is always polite and informative.

Two BIG thumps up!

The watch? Panerai Ferrari FER008

I'll just placed an order with Gorilla Straps, so I'll post some pics as soon as the new strap arrives.

Cheers!

I got a good price, so no I'm not very worried about paying more then needed.

And that stuff about "those guys"; So far I have been 100% satisfied with the transactions (and so have my friends), so I'll keep my orders with Josh and don't see any reason why not. Last time I checked, everybody had their own right to choose with whom they ordered from, right? Some guys on this forum, and on other forums as well, says Y about different dealers, and some other guys say X about the exact same dealers. So no, I don't think there's any reason to go in to things like that...

And I'm also very thankful that everybody here can choose for themselves how many posts they want to write each and every day on this specific forum. 8)

Cheers!

Well, what "those guys" did is more than mere hearsay... a fact's a fact. They behaved appaulingly. And for that very reason many people here won't care how quickly they respond to emails, how well their watches are packaged or how low (yeah right) their prices are. Look, even if Mugabe offered me a cheap cricket bat I still wouldn't buy it from him...

But you're right, you have the right to do whatever you want and to say whatever you feel. And I'm glad your purchases have turned out ok. Enjoy the the new watch!

I've purchased about 10 from Josh. I think I had issues with 3, and all were fixed immediately. He even sent replacement bezel inserts a year or so after I bought a Rolex GMT from him. Enjoy your watch!

But, where are the pictures?

Sounds to me like you only came here to stir things up about the Jandrew issue, if you want to keep buying from the wonder twins go ahead, pay more for the same watches any dealer here can get you at a lower price, and in the case of Hont he actually has QC, something the twins never had and yet they claim to do so, they charge you $50 for "Waterproofing" that is a lie, $120 for servicing the movement+waterproof yeah right, how about the little 'white' lies about how they label mineral crystal as "synthetic sapphire" or label their watches 1:1 when they're far from 1:1, etc...

Everybody has the right to choose, you got that right, you can choose to buy from the scam sites too. ;) It's your choice down at the end, we can just give you advice and it's your choice if you want to take it or not.

But, just to prove my point, take the Concord C1 Chrono:

Hont has it for $288 + shipping [$30 extra for EMS or $10 for air-mail if I'm not wrong]:

http://forum.replica-watch.info/phpBB3/vi ... 37&t=42860

The Twins have it for $358 + shipping [extra $30]

As a bonus Hont will check on your watches for any issues and send you pictures of the watch you'll be receiving before he sends it out so you can give him the OK. How about the twins? Higher price, ZERO quality control and all they give you for the extra money is quick emails and a higher risk of having to send back the watch[es] for a replacement. lol, so much for "great" service.

I can promise you that this was NEVER my intention! I just wanted to post a good review, but since this instead have turned in to a "debate" and might just go the wrong way now, I've asked one of the MOD's to delete this thread.

I don't visit this forum very often, and not the other ones either, so I'm not very familiar about this whole "debate". So I'm sorry if I steeped on anybodies toes here.

Again, I never wanted to cause any debate or trouble with this post. I just wanted to share a nice experience.

Cheers

This is getting a bit obscure to say the least. Where on this forum have I ever said this? I just wrote a post saying that I was happy with my transaction, nothing else. Is it really so bad to be happy with both the watch and the transaction?

horologie_unitas said:

Well, I thought that in this section of the forum you write about dealer reviews to tell other member about your experience. This is what I did, but if you want to talk about something else with me (another topic), I'm more then open to do so in another area.

horologie_unitas said:

As I wrote in my earlier post, I don't visit this forum very often (at least I don't write very much). I rather read and take in the information from much more experienced people since I'm a real newbie when it comes to all this. I'm sorry if my lack of post upsets you, put I'll try my best to add up a few more.

Anyhow, this is getting a bit strange to say the least, so can a MOD just please delete this whole thread. Because AGAIN, this whole "debate" was definitely not my intention, and I don't want to cause any trouble.

Cheers

There is no offense taken, this was just a very hot topic last year and there are still some raw nerves about it. This is exactly the place for you to post your experience with a dealer, good or bad. Everyone has the right to do business with anyone they see fit, and I personally do not think berating you for it is the right response. The problem most of the members have with the dealer mentioned above was a situation where some dealers were attempting to force some of the others to keep prices high. This is in direct conflict with what we are hoping to do here and they are no longer here because of this.It can be a sensitive subject. If you have been reading on here I am sure you have seen that we are usually able to play nice with each other. :D

Hi brtelec,

Thanks for your reply. :)

Unfortunately I wasn't fully aware about the things you just explained to be. I'm sorry if some other members have been offended by my post. Again, all I wanted to do was to write that I had a good transaction experience with this dealer. But I understand now, from the things/info you just told, that this can turn in to a heated debate. I also now understand the reactions from other members in this thread, a little bit more . Perhaps it could have been shown in another way. But like you also said, I know that usually everyone is able to play nice in here.

Thanks again for your help sorting this out. As I said, I hope I haven't offended anybody by starting this thread. And I promise to try my best to participate a bit more. The thing is that I don't know much about "all this" and I'm still trying to learn as much as I can just by reading. But again, that's no excuse because if everybody was just reading all the time and didn't do any posting, there wouldn't be much of a forum, would it? 8)

Cheers

I love this place, but I have to say that things are often not clearly said.

I've been here for three months, and I can hear from the twins, Jandrew, etc... since the start, while I couln't understand a word of what was wroten.

Nevertheless, a month and a half ago, someone post pics of the watch he'd just got: a beautiful PAM 036. I asked him where he got it and decide to get the same, when mails arrived to tell me payment was received and order sent those were signed by Andrew.

It's only a week ago, after doing many research, typing different keywords that I understood the real problem. (same thing explain in this thread)

Too late, I've already help the bad guys with my money and I'm piss off just to know it.

As for the watch, I got an upgraded version of the one I ordered because the one I wanted was not available, so I was kind of happy.

I know there's a lot of people happy with Perfect Clones or Trusty, and those people might think the reason they're banned from here is not worth debating over.

But, what happen to me will happen to other noobies, and I thought that one of the main purpose of this place was to inform.

Am I wrong to think that that a section on this subject should be edited?

I agree with BR and guru, 100%. As far as I can remember, even immediately after the removal of those two as trusted dealers here, we've have *encouraged* people NOT to buy from them, but that's where it ends. EVERY member has the right to buy from whomever he/she wants and to discuss that buying experience here. I've bought from Josh in the past and never had any issues. I don't buy from him any longer, however.

Now, if there is someone who is, in the opinion of the staff, obvious shilling/advertising for the Cartel, the staff will act accordingly. I do not think that is the case here.

I agree BR

I need to say to IWC, good luck on your new purchase and wear it well. I mean that. I know it was not an attempt to shill for Jamscrew.

Were free to buy from whomever we want for whatever reason. This of us burned over the incident with the mass- bannings from Repgeek..at least the attempt to left us a bit sour and the gangster practices of theJamscrew Trusty big mouth cowards let them make an exit from here with much delight.

The fact is we have a "reccomended" delaers list becuae this "segment" of this "hobby" has carefully chosen dealers and fingered scam sites wit alot of hard work, some lost money and quite a few bad experiences with the icing on the cake of the out-right muscling of one of our dealers here.

For the premiums they charge, a good watch better be n the mail. The lack of QC and crap shoot drop ship they do just lines there pockets more and keeps the noobs wanting more who are just uninformed.

The real isnult comes to those who have been in this hobby for a bit and they continue to push the waterproof and movement servicing which for GAD DAMN sure never happens. It may just get a second luck for function check so it does not arrive DOA but that would be it. Most delaers (Not all) drop ship so what I learned very early on applies, choose your dealer then your watch.

Nice to meet you IWC

Sorry about jumping to conclusions so fast then, I guess with 16 posts and your latest post after having removed Jandrew some time ago someone came here posting about them about a positive review and them mentioning that you don't care what anyone says about them, etc. So it's all good then, my bad for thinking otherwise, like some have pointed out, it's still a bitter subject to discuss about, I have bought from Andrew in the past like 1 time, and it was fine, but after they did what they did I lost all my respect for them. :)

Thanks! I can't wait for the strap from Gorilla Straps to arrive. The rubber strap that comes with the watch is OK, but I guess it can't compare in a long shot with a custom made strap (my first ever, so I'm very excited about this one!).

Nice to meet you too watchbuff. :)

IWC KEEP COMING BACK! Thanks for the honest review, I too have purchased from the twins in the past. Just know there are many other options available. 8)
