After reviewing several DIY's about making a strap I gave it shot with a good piece of leather.
First a trip to a local Goodwill store.
I think I could have scored brownie points with my wife by giving her the purse I used. I have to say it was a VERY nice "Brand Name" leather purse.
So for $10.00 USD I had my leather. The only tool I bought was a hole punch.
I used the purse strap to make the keepers. It's on my PAM005 Logo.
It's 3 layers thick 85mmX155mm
Hope you like. Thanks for looking. (After taking these pics, I re-glued and clamped the loose pieces at the lugs. I was in a hurry to take a few pics to share)

Thanks.. I used 3M's heavy duty spray adhesive.
Spryed both side, let it dry for 30 sec then clamped together for 5 mins..

@replicafan, does the leather stay flexible after you do the gluing. ? or it became hard and numb ?

another thing, is it an Edge Kote that u use to on the strap edge/end . ?

The leather is pretty flexible.. Not as stiff as I thought a 3 layer glued strap would be. Comfortable to me wrist.

Good question concerning Edge Kote. ..
so.. what did I use .. it's in the lower right hand corner of this pic. Not fancy, but worked. :)
I used the Super Glue Gel to keep my final stitch on the keeper from pulling out. It was not part of the "Edga Kote."

I know Edge Kote will seal and add color to the raw edges.... as the typical guy I didn't want to wait to order that supply so I used what was in my desk drawer.
