Into the deep Blue Sea
Hommage to the spirit of Jaques-Yves Cousteau, the man in the red woollen cap, who opened the eyes of mankind not only to the magic of our oceans, but also to the threat faced by them.
The proximity to the ideas of the most famous Frenchman of modern times finds expression in a quite unusual way in the Aquatimer Special Edition: Every watch incorporates a small piece of the legendary Calypso, the first vessel from which Cousteau and his crew dived on the world’s oceans.
The Calypso, the legendary research vessel of Jacques-Yves Cousteau, was not a submarine, but a converted minesweeper, as afficionado’s are aware from countless films.

Now, however, it dives down to120 metres: Packaged in water-resistant fashion inside the Aquatimer Chronograph “Cousteau Diversâ€

Thanks everyone! Really appreciate it.

@Pug: Indeed, I think it looks pretty good even though I had to get used to it at first.

As we are regarding a divingtool, which is a bit misleading as its only water-ressistant to a depth of 120 metres
\

As a divemaster (and owner of the rep - enroute from China right now!!) I can tell you that 120 meters is WAAAY more than anyone who'd wear this watch would dive.

Do the math - that's 360 feet. At that depth, you'd be carrying multiple air tanks AND would have to decompress - or be one of the freaky "hold your breath" divers!

Another way to put this... according to standard dive tables, 130 FEET (a mere 41 meters) - a standard advanced trained scuba diver only had five minutes of bottom time without having to return - and that's assuming the air will last.

So this 120M watch - is PLENTY powerful mojo.

Just some FYI. Of course I'd never put my life in the hands of a rep - for that, dive computers all the way.

Cheers!

Sorry if misleading, a watch stated 120m water-resistant is only tested to the pressure of that depth - it is not meant to be taken to that for real. If you move your wrist while swimming or hit the water with the watch during a jump into it, there can occure forces beyond these tested pressures for a short time.
120m means that you can do swimming and also snorkel with it. A little water sport won't harm it, too. But Scubadiving won't be safe anymore.
Check hxxp://www.bluedial.com/BD_wr.htm for example (replace hxxp with http).
