Look, I do a lot of sales on this forum. I have sold 100s of high-end watches and bags at this point - I have pieces built, wear them briefly and sell them; I have a pretty damn good reputation here. Over half of those have been sent out of the country without many issues. A couple of times, I have had to check with the shipping company, and there are unlucky customs issues, but for the most part, 99% of the packages make it to where they are supposed to go.

I post 20-30 photos of each watch; I try to be as accommodating as I can with requests. I am usually willing to discount pieces and even try to help new people by selling to them. I typically don't have to try very hard to sell a piece because they are higher quality, and every watch sells eventually. Even if it takes a couple of weeks. I usually have folks waiting as I choose the buyer - I don't care who is first in line. I try to be super helpful when I can. I even take a loss on most sales because it's insignificant, and I like the hobby. That is the type of seller I am. Many can back up those statements and attest to that! I even threw in a free set of Oysterflex straps, as the set on the watch didn't fit the buyer. At my cost.

On this sale, @Prizon purchased a Met Dial build from me a few weeks ago and wanted me to ship the build through FedEx in two-day shipping. I told him I didn't have an account with FedEx and that it wasn't a great idea. But that is what we did anyway, as he requested. Of course, I know how to fill out a declaration form, as I have done so many times. I don't have a copy of the declaration as I didn't get an email from FedEx, as I purchased the $158 shipping as a one-off. I usually use USPS, which holds all of my past invoices, declarations, etc. on my account. Even shipping overseas to the UK, Germany, Europe, Asia, etc., usually isn't a problem.

This package got to Canadian Customs, and they opened the box but didn't want to release it, even after the buyer paid taxes on it. I have been on the phone four or five times with agents, customs, etc, trying to help the buyer get his watch over the past couple of weeks. Finally, I got word today that they would be willing to ship it back to me if I gave them a credit card. I gave the payment info so it could be sent back to me. I didn't ask if the buyer wanted me to do that - I just did it on my own accord. I have reached out to @Prizon many times and tried to be as helpful as possible about this entire situation, and I am taking the time to do so. After all, in my sales posts, I state that it's the buyer's responsibility, and I don't have control once it leaves my hands. Regardless, I am trying to be helpful. I understand it can be frustrating, but it's not my fault.

I felt like the transaction was still good until today. After today's update, he tells me that he wants to cut his losses and wants me to take the watch back, and give him a refund.

I clearly state in my sales posts that I am not Amazon,
  1. not going to provide refunds and
  2. not taking the item back.
  3. I am not a TD and I am NOT responsible for getting you a package.

I took it upon myself today to pay for the item to return to the States in the hope that I could reship it when we finally get it back with another service like USPS. His tone suddenly changed, and he then told me I was responsible for his package and that I needed to ship it to him at my cost once it got back. He, of course, offered to pay me for getting it back to the US if I agreed to refund him. I stated that was not how this would work, and he continually told me that it was my responsibility as a seller to get him the watch at my cost or refund him.

He asked that we get a Mod involved. I wholeheartedly agreed and told him it would not work out as he had planned. I reached out to the mod that did my HVS for that sale (I felt like that was appropriate). The mod gave him a resolution. A resolution that Prizon stated was biased because I referred to the mod by his first name, as I am on a first-name basis with most mods. I have been around long enough to have worked with many of them or conversed with them about watches. Prizon didn't like that and said he would create a ticket due to Bias. I agree that would be a great idea as well.

Here is what I am NOT going to do. I am not going to help someone and go out of my way to assist and spend my time helping only for you to try and insult me and give me an attitude and tone as if I owe you something. Then you have the audacity to say "You have made it clear what kind of seller you are. I will never do business with you again, nor will I advise anyone else to."

I am not sure if someone spit in your cornflakes this morning or you had a bad day, but I am not your doormat. Again, I understand you got frustrated at the situation but I will let you deal with the mods going forward.
