Just joined and have a question about TD process. I asked 2 dealers if the exact same watch was in stock, one said no the other said yes. My understanding is the TD source the watches from the factory. So does this mean the one just has a watch in hand already and another doesn't?

Possibly. Ask the one that says they have it....if they physically have it and it is ready to ship.
Also, make sure you are contacting these TD's using their contact information provided here on RWI. Never Google the info...there are scam sites out there using same/similar names as the TDs here.

Agree with Fiddo.
FYI for TDs, when they say "in stock" it means that they can get it, subject to the factory delivering it, NOT that they are holding stock of it in their office.
When you see stuff like "READY TO SHIP, 24HR QC" or something along those lines, then that means they have it physically in hand.
