Need the help of the Rolex Gurus out there. Is this a TC Submariner? I had the LV version but will be the first time getting the LN version. Thoughts?

It might be. Crown position on the case looks good. Not sure about the bracelet recess on the lugs at the top of the case.
What about the movement- have you seen a pic of that- TC used a 2824-2 clone? As I recall, TC didn't mark his cases between the lugs- 16610 T, etc.
But it's a good looking 16610 LN nevertheless.

As Alligoat said, the case isn't marked between the lugs, the movement will be sort of gold colored and unbranded, the bracelet endlinks should be unmarked but should have codes on the clasp showing it is a TC bracelet.
I'll be honest and say I can't tell with just pics if the dial is TC (through a loupe the quality of printing is more obvious)

Others on here will be able to look at the endlink fitment, hands and date and tell if they are correct.

The coronet on the clasp will be a giveaway of what version the bracelet is, lightly stamped, well stamped ect.

Of course the seller hasn't included any details in these pics.....

When I got mine, I could see the bracelet code, the overall watch looked good, and I sort of judged the seller more than the watch, rolled the dice, when it arrived I popped the caseback and endlinks right away.

Also keep in mind, there are a few versions of these, the older ones didn't have sarif font on the date (V3???). You can't tell by blowing up the pic if this one is sarif font. It just gets pixelated.
The V6 and V7 had a an improved dial (KH dial) , and are generally the more sought after ones.

I don’t mean to bombard your thread with a huge post but if you want this info I have read a bunch of old threads and taken some notes.
If you don’t want me clogging up your thread just say so and I’ll edit it out. :)

TC info

TC movements use a H4 canon pinion to raise the hands slightly. Finding a regular eta with H4 is difficult

Bracelet

V2 bracelet has worse end links

They sit higher I think and have a slight gap

V2 clasp code DE6??

V2 Swiss made is one word swissmade

No engravings inside SEL

V3 clasp swiss made is two words

Swiss Made

V3 clasp code PJ4

V3 releases around mid July 2012

V3 SEL is 20.15mm Gen is 20mm

No engravings inside SEL

V3 coronet not as protruding as V2

V4 bracelet is a new maker

It has variances and needs to be matched with the case to fit well.

V4 has better coronet

V4 first link does not fold all the way in

DWO

Some claim V1 and V2 DWO are a tad left justified. Moving the dial slightly to the left will fix.

V1 and V2 were supplied by original 16610 mid case maker

V3 came out maybe around June 2013 by new supplier, better date font with more sarif and still slightly left justified in window

DWO V4 (sub V6) has correct white base colour, font is genuine, print is raised in high gloss, is centered

Versions

Old versions may have a ladies eta 2876 movement.

Around the same time there were factory direct 16610LV that has different case with higher crown? Crown is inset in case too far?

WM9 V3???

TC started using the V series case and LV parts to make V series 1 LV watches.

2012 LN inserts were not great

Even TC admits it’s worth going gen insert

TC crystals at this time were also not amazing.

16610LN V4 case was around July 2012 I think but can’t confirm

16610LV type 3 came out a few months before Aug 2013

It had TC2824 with H4, DWO V3, TC V4 bracelet, TC bezel assembly with custom click spring.

TC still recommends a gen LN or LV insert

Aug 18 2013

Running out of both dials, piecing together good stuff from multiple reject dials.

Making of 16610LN version V (V5)

Making of 16610LV type 3

These are spec’s the same.

These use non KH dials???

Nov 2013 - KH dials start here only on the Caddell Sub models-

25-295

25-286

25-295 rouge

25-286 rouge

TC V6 sub LN

Aug 25, 2014 - official start date of V6 with KH dials

TC V6 w KH dial and TCV1 insert and DWO V4

2015 TCV2 insert (chamfer around pearl holder)

Aug 2016 TC V7

Won’t take gen 3135 movement screws

better bezel, deeper scallops

Capped H4 pinion

TC hand set V3

KH dials (2016)

Case made in china but final finish and polish done in the US

Case lugs 20.05 so uses V6 bracelet and V6 clasp

Later V6 and V7 updated to PA bezels which will accept a gen bezel ring without having to use gen retainer

Next

TC V7 extreme

Which won’t fit gen 3135 screws
