TC Sub...I mean Rolex with custom case on ebay

Somone selling their gen Rolex 3135 movement wrapped in a TC case. Unless the gen movement is really a Yuki 3135 with a gen winding bridge. Interesting way of getting around the rules on selling a rep.

Sure that's not a BK TWB case? He mentions solid mid link bracelet which is what BK's have. I personally wouldn't know the minute differences between the two.

I have gen Xtal on TC LV and it's very difficult to photograph without a strong light source..... Could be OK though on this one, as can't be seen during normal face-on shots.....
Is this a gen dial then? Seems to have detailed raised print like my TC KH dial.
Datewheel also looks to have "raised" print...... Gen?

The listing names everything as "custom" except the crystal. I assume that means the dial as well. Interested to see what the final value is...

As I said ealrier, I think it's a BK Taiwan case. Looks like it will probably go for over $3000. Way more than I would have thought it's worth.

I may have to start buying up old Datejusts and converting them to Subs.......

No. Mine would be "Real custom aftermarket Subs".

And I could put an ETA clone in the left over Datejust and sell it as a "Real custom aftermarket Datejust".

I'm seeing about a $2000 profit or more on each pair.

BK TWB case has the correct stem height for a 3135? The serial engraving looks good to me. Man I suck at this game.

Heck, I didn't even know that the BK TWB had the indent inside the case to accept the 3135. Aside from the cg shape, I wouldn't have been able to tell. The engravings even has the short 'E'. RWI is such a great resource!

He said his watchsmith tested it to 1000', same as gen. Also, the first generation TC subs came engraved between the lugs and on the rehaut. They even were engraved with a rolling serial number, so everybody's number was different. TC's original bracelet was also engraved on the endlinks. I'm pretty sure the case and bracelet are early TC. The rehaut engraving was removed, added a gen 3135, gen crystal, gen insert, gen box(?) and bingo $3100.

Yeah. We have to keep in mind the movement alone was likely well over a grand. Another 600 between the crystal, box and insert.
