i had a gen Basculante and i remember the strap was an important part of its appeal. Finding a gen strap though is tough, at least I haven’t seen any availa

Do you know what is the Exact lug width measurement? I squeezed on an 18mm ostrich strap I had. Didn’t like the result.

just measure it
Cartier gen usual sizes are 16mm, 19 and 23
but you never know with the reps

Ostrich is not cool with Cartier.
Glossy crocodile or alligator

avoid the thick padded straps and go for the thin padded or no pad

Doesn’t have to be gen. Just get a nice buttery smooth leather strap on her.

There are many good reviews for Delugs straps. They are not in the US. Do you recommend any Cartier strap maker in US for alligator/crocodile leather straps?
