Taking a movement out of another watch instead of buying a movement

So I am looking for ETA 7750 movements on ebay for future reference in case I want to do a swap in the future.

It seems that the going rate for one is around $400-$600. However, I do see some watches on ebay that have ETA7750 movements that can be as low as $300-$350.

Is it viable to just buy one of these watches and use that movement for a movement swap?

Viable, yes, but odds are they will need a service so ultimately I don't think you'll save any money unless you happen to find one that was serviced.
