When you say you "can't get it back in the hole" does that actually mean you can't get it to stay in?
If so you have stuffed the keyless works.
Those OS model Miyotas require a very delicate push on the release pin, and any heavy handed pushing will always require a keyless reset.
If you can't get it to actually fit back into the hole, you have some other issue.

I cant get it to go back in all the way. I bet I pushed the release to hard and "stuffed" the keyless works.

Is it better to have the keyless fixed or just b a new movement and swap the hands and dial?

FYI...I sent this to Katt with another watch but he doesnt work on Keyless movements.

Yes, Its an easy fix to reset the keyless.
Get it to someone who knows what they are doing and it will be OK in no short order.
