Hate to let this one go because it is one of my favorites since it looks great and is light on the wrist.
Had a custom band made as you can see (cost was ~150USD alone) and its in great shape.
PROS:
- visually the watch is solid. no scratches or anything bad as you can see
- high quality rep and always kept time fantastic
- the 2 crowns for chrono turn flawless so you can unscrew them to use the chronograph function (this is an issue with those Tag's)
CONS:
- chrono just jumps to 1 second and then stops or it just doesn't move at all (never was an issue for me as I don't use it anyways)
- power reserve seems to not be working properly anymore. Sometimes it runs for a day, sometimes 30minutes. You wind it, it'll go fine for a while (see beforehand)
- when the watch was serviced (many years ago) the watchmaker returned it with only 2 out of the 6 screws on the back.
This is the perfect watch for someone that can fix stuff like that. I remember paying over 600US way, way back ... plus 150ish for the band... so my cost was 750.
Figured 1/3 of the price is fair since it needs some love for sure.
