I guys, I have recently purchased the 300 SLR timepiece from Ryan and just thought i could give my opinions and ask a few queries in regards to it.

Pros - To start with, its actually a pretty nice watch. The colours look brilliant and go together perfectly. The a7750 is pretty good and has so far kept time to the dot. I did use the chrono overnight and its really good. Precautions were taken when setting the date or resetting the chrono to ensure i dont damage the cogs when the date is engaged, even though i think it has got the anti-jam feature. Also, on initial use i didnt wind it but worked fine on the get go.
Another worry of mine originally was that its only 41mm, considering i usually wear bigger watches, but surprisingly its not that much smaller and still looks fantastic on the wrist.

Issues i found with mine, that i couldn't spot on the QC pics;
1. When the sun is shining directly onto it, the dial appears less brown but more like a purple/pinky colour. - Not a big issue and something i can live with, but not my fav colours.
2. The AR is not that great.
3. The chrono needle (big second hand) has an orange tip which is not painted correctly, you can see a small silver bit in between the orange tip. This can only be spotted when the had is not at 12 otherwise it cant. - Nothing that really bothers me.
4. The choron seems to sometimes move out of line, this is for both the second and minute hand. So when i see its moved out of place, i just start and stop the chrono and then reset. - Not a big issue as i don't mind resetting it but I just wanted to know if this was common?
5. The final and biggest issue is that the inside of the strap which is orange has lost its colour after the 3rd day of use. The 3rd day was the only day i had it on for the whole day, the first two being an hour or two of use. Am i not supposed to wear it the whole day?

This is what i really need help with. When people ask me to show them the watch i don't take it off as it looks really tatty.

Has anyone else had this issue, and if they have what did you do?

I'm wondering if there is anyway to resolve this. Maybe colour it in or something. I tried looking for a gen strap but only found one place that had it, which was twice as much as the cost of this watch, far to expensive for me.
I also contacted Ryan who suggested purchasing another strap but i don't really see a point if its just going to get ruined in a days use. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance, images to follow.

Just reading the post again, seems tad negative. The watch itself is a beautiful piece and i wouldn't want to take anything away from it. The only real concern is the strap. The other items don't really bother me.

QC images, enjoy;

Issue 4. Every so often the chrono needles do not sit right. I correct this by starting and stopping the chrono then doing a reset.

Im surprised no one is replying considering we have people on here that have purchased the slr 300 and rave about it.

all i want to know is if people have had this issue and if they have how they sorted it out. Would also be good to know if you havent had this issue to see if its just my rep.

Similar strap on a few of the carrera models too and from what i've read you appear to have been really unlucky.

I was of the impression the Tag rubber or leather bracelets were pretty good quality, at least the few i've had have been...

I don't have this one, so I wouldn't know about the dial color and AR.
Regarding the movement instead, its behaviour is not common. I have several 7750s and the small hands work and reset fine.
A good advice is you simply don't use the chrono ;)

About the strap you can try and check on strapped for time or watch band center, they have a nice selection of aftermarket tag straps, maybe you can find something that suits you. The quality will be of course better than any rep strap :)

I'm sorry you're having issues, but they seem to be somewhat minor, once you fixed them you will enjoy your watch even more.
