First of all, I'd like to thank all the members in this forum for the valuable information. It helped me a lot in my decision to buy my very first rep.

I bought a Tag Heuer Carrera Calibre 16 from one of the TDs listed, and the transaction went smoothly. It took about 15 days from begining to end. I really like the watch. I'm not an expert, but I think the look and feel is very similar to the gen. It has the blue screws in the back, but I'm okay with it for now.

Now I have some questions if someone could share their experience. I wonder if there is a protector film (that can be removed) on the tachymetre bezel? It's because I see some bubbles inside and I'm afraid of peeling off something that's not supposed to be done. But on the other hand I keep staring at those bubbles. There are air pockets near the 240 mark near the rim, and after wearing it for one day, there is a very prominent one between the 75 and 80 mark. (Please, see the photos).

The other question I have is if the rubber band will mold the wrist better as I wear it. It'd say it is not very comfortable at the moment, and I have to set the band rather loose to avoid marks on my wrist. My wrist size is 6.5" by the way.

OK, I guess that's it for now. I hope I don't get too addicted with this new hobby...

Yes there is a protective film. Use your nail to remove it.

Enjoy it. It's nice rep. I have two.

I have a rubber strap but not worn it yet.

There is a list of part numbers for the screws in the movement section. They are easy enough to swap.

And welcome to RWI :)

Thank you!!! Perfect! I'm impressed by how well this thing is made. Here's the picture of the protective film. I had to use a small tweezer to get it off.

Here are pictures also of how I was wearing the strap, and the marks on my wrist. I'm wearing it now even looser than that. Perhaps it's because I have a small wrist and the strap becomes more oval than round...

Yes, a toothpick would have been a better way to do it. I was very carefull with the tweezer to not scratch the bezel...

Thanks Chaw6125 about the information on the screws!
I found it. Just search for "Blue Screws" in this forum. When I get to the point of start opening the watches as part of this hobby, I'll do it.

Looks like you do have small wrists, but don't let that stop you from enjoying this great rep :)

Looks impressive. I used to own a gen a few years back. Paid almost 3K ended up selling for half of that. No more gen tags for me.
