TAG Formula 1 QUARTZ Special Edition - query

Does anyone here have any experience with a rep of this specific model colour scheme and dial - TAG F1 special edition.
Love the colour scheme on this specific model and the fact it has the metal pushers. Trusty doesn't have this specific one available so checking in to see if anyone has sourced one from elsewhere and what the overall quality is like.

Yeh All good. I found it eventually and have it now. Sourced from a non TD and unsure of the factory but it’s NWBIG and a keeper.

My friend i have the same model but i think it is the previous model! It is Gulf edition but with black pushers and crown.
Very nice model, only issue, it has aluminium bezel.

The model with the steel pushers is the “special edition”. It has GULF on the bezel instead of Tachymetre and has the integrated colour sub dials.

With these reps some are available with the Swiss quartz and many with the Myota OS or Seiko VK.

All of them are great value and very decent quality.

It took me a while to find mine as I wanted the Swiss quartz to make sure the subdials function as per gen ( the VK quartz does not ) and also to make sure the clasp was the correct spec milled version as per gen special
dition. Some of the reps just all use the same non milled clasp that is standard on the non special edition.

When you research these you start to see the small subtle differences and off you go down the rabbit hole………..

Ask to see the clasp.
Make sure it doesn’t have the standard looking pressed clasp arms- should be milled on the special edition.
Also is this the Swiss quartz ?

How to buy from original factory? Which TD? I ordered my formula 1 from Honk but serial numbers are from aquaracer when you check on the website.. Do you know who has TH formula that matches serial numbers with the model?

Hey, Does OF milisec hand stops after 30 secs or it keeps going indefinitely? Also what factory does stamped clasp, is it OF?

I've gotten my QC.
Ordered OF a month ago. Watch head is looking lovely, but to my surprise, clasp is stamped and not milled? Stickers look like OF tho.
Milisec counter is running for 30 secs then stops, but it gives a reading while pausing chrono, so it is behaving just like gen.

Besides stamped clasp, worst thing are those most terrible, awful, gaping SEL's. I've ever seen.






Think it's gonna be strap only and bracelet goes straight to trash.

Anyone have a link to the Catalog of NWBIG Tag Rep.s? I want to buy my son a nice one for his graduation year. I know the OF Factory are damn good, but not sure who makes the Formula 1's.

I have mine on a leather racing strap now. Very comfortable.
