Tag Factories

Hi All

Newbie here so go easy...

In bouncing around the forums here it seems like Original, XF & USF factories make the best Tag reps.

Is there a way to determine which of these makes the highest quality reps?

Will one of the factories make some models and another factory make other models? Is that how it works?

Also - if there is a sticky of thread on this that I missed please send it my way.

By reading the forum: the best factory probably is OF (original Factory)

OF A D XF are definitely best but not sure of availability so best to ask a TD

When it comes to Tag reps OF make the best Aquaracers & XF the best chronographs.

OF Aquaracers are awesome and can be purchased with genuine Swiss Sellita movements... They only have one tell; the lume pip is often too flat. The Bamford Aquaracer has no lume pip so that's good, but the lume is the wrong colour on the hands

The XF chronographs are also very close to gen but any watch fitted with a Chinese 7750 movement is by its very nature of limited desirability as the movement is so fragile. Accepted wisdom is to never use the chronograph function as it can die at any moment without warning. Up to you to decide if the risk is worth it.
