Well, I knew the time would come, but I didn't know it would come before my first watch even arrived - I'm already looking into buying a second Tag rep!

I was originally going to go for the Day-Date as the second, but I found the Tag Calibre 1 on Trevor's website, and the price is much more reasonable (plus, it looks very nice!)

Although different from doing it in person, I spent many hours comparing Trevor's photos with a gen on the internet. From what I can tell, it looks very close.
The only thing that got to me was the very blue tint of the double AR coating. Hopefully it's just the pictures?

Anyways, does anyone here own this rep? I wanted to see some photos of it by other members, as I'm having a hard time finding some on the web. I guess it's not a very popular rep, but I like the look very much.

It's a 6498 hand-wind movement - if there's anyone who owns a watch with this movement, please let me know how you're liking it as well!

Cheers

I have one of these and it is a pretty decent rep. Movement through the case back looks great and apart from a slight lack of definition in the 'engraving' it looks reasonably close to gen. The shade of red and the application of the coating on the second hand is a little iffy on mine but I think this is fairly standard for this rep. Unfortunately there is a definite pronounced blue hue to the AR which can be a bit distracting. Clasp on the rubber strap is useless, it simply doesn't grip securely enough. I ended up putting a sliver of neoprene on the rear of the strap to get a better grip. So, it's close but no cigar. Still, for the money it's none too shabby.

Nice! Any pictures that you wouldn't mind posting up? :)

Tried to capture the blue AR with these photos, not too successfully I might add, but in certain lighting conditions it is very pronounced. If that's the kind of thing that might annoy you then think carefully before taking the plunge with this. The watch does look better in the metal but the clasp on the strap is shite.

Looks very good. Do you ever find the watch falling off because of the clasp?

You'll notice the strap loosen before it drops off your wrist, hopefully. If the rubber was a couple of mm thicker or the clasp a tad more functional this would be a non issue but whilst using a bit of self adhesive neoprene isn't ideal it certainly does the job.
