Hi!
I am planning to get an Aquaracer rep. I've read in this forum that the black dial version is the most accurate, as the colour of the blue version differs remarkably from the gen watch.
But what about the white version? I think the rep with white dial looks amazing. But I'ver never seen a gen Aquaracer with a white dial, they all seem to have silver dials instead of white. Am I wrong with that?? Imho, a rep watch with a dial of a colour that does not exist in the gen would be a flaw that makes the rep way to easy to spot.
What do you think. Anyone seen a gen aquaracer with a WHITE dial??

I do not own a gen aquaracer but I have seen and worn one (its my brother's watch). He does have the gen of the version that you want. He has the silver/white dial. His watch looks "silvery" white (if you can understand what I am saying). I took a look at the reps and the dial color is very similar. You have to keep in mind when you are wearing tag reps that the chances of you running into someone wearing the gen of the rep you are wearing (AT THAT MOMENT) is highly unlikely. Could it happen? Of course. In the 10 or so years that I have been wearing both gen and reps I have only encountered one person wearing the same watch as I was wearing (he brought it to my attention). I have no idea if his was a gen or a rep- I just happen to be wearing a gen at that moment.

To answer your question, if you buy the white dial version of the aquaracer you will be amazed at the quality of the rep. The color is very close; wear it with confidence, you won't be called out (unless you wear it to an AD). IMHO, the tag reps (aquaracer, carrera and grand carrera - the higher priced versions) are very accurate so you can't go wrong with them (again this is my opinion).

I also want you to know that I have the blue dial version of the aquaracer and the dial color is not that "off." You would only know the color was off if were doing a side-by-side comparison of the gen and rep. Obviously I bought the blue version of the aquaracer because my brother has the gen silver/white version and I can wear it whenever I want - as long as I let him borrow one of my a reps!
