Ok so was looking around for my first gen and found this:

This actually is a nice watch but I will pick the Seamaster Pro for the price (I know it's not under a grand brand new but used very good condition).

Cold1 if you really want that you should know, it wont come with the Tag Warranty Card because it is considered grey-market. So if it breaks, you will have to send it in to Amazon for repair not the AD. I am pretty sure this how Amazon sells their stuff, you should ask to be sure. I don't think it will break and to be honest, they will probably have the same service center work on them that the AD uses.

You should investigate the LVMH friends and family sale. Go here, https://www.lvmhpartners.com/ and enter the promotional code Fall08ffsale

Authenticwatches.com and Jomashop.com are also grey-market sellers so you will get the same warranty through them, 2 years Joma/Authentic Watches. So if your going to keep the watch and not upgrade it, go for it. If you intend to resell or trade up, go with the AD and spend some more up front.

Also, go to the dealer and try it on and have them price it. Let them know what your going to pay.

They are very good. The family sale is over I believe and after reading the fine print you get no warrantee card which is total BU lLShirt IMO. I would go grey market any day.
