How long can a full 60 wound last on a Swiss Unita? My DSN 111H last less than 1 day.. :?

My 177H from Davidsen runs about three days on one full wind - so there's definently something wrong with yours. But if it's brand new - give it a couple of full winds to make sure it's really screwed up!

Please don't overwind your watch.... From my experience, It does not take 60, not even 50 to get it fully wound.... if the spring resists you, DONT FORCE IT ;)

The unitas in my 0 1 runs for 47 hours, 58 minutes give or take and it's running consistently at about +2/day.

That's almost three hours more than spec'ed for the 6497.

A real swiss unitas 6497 usually runs 40-49 hours on a full wind...

Depends... Panerai modify theirs to run 56 hours. But without modification, you are right on the range, with 44 hours being typical.

Ok,I wound it around 40 rounds when I 1st received the watch in that afternoon and it went dead the next morning.I wound it up again this morning for 50 rounds and it stopped this evening! ...something must be wrong. I just wound it up 60 rounds..lets see if it stops tommorrow morning. If so,I think I have to contact DSN

Could you take a picture of the movement? That might help in determining the problem.

Do you have one of those Hybrid Swiss/Asian movement with Dagger?

I heard though that DSN does not use this movement.

The reason I say this is that I have a Hybrid movement that kept dying on me every 8-10 hours. Over time though, it became better - now I get about about 40-45 hours.

all pam rep movements with the newer bridges are assembled in china.. all are hybrid. some use china parts.. some use swiss. movements with a pallet lever bridge generally use many swiss parts and are much less trouble prone, movements with a pallet lever cock and course finish use all asian parts and are usually the ones to cause trouble.. usually trouble in the balance assembly.. hairsprings are not alligned properly and parts are more fragile. some dealers ARE selling the better ones with the swiss parts and the dagger added to the swanneck. these are good but make no mistake... none are swiss :)
