On my SuperOcean, the crown is not that hard to screw back in - but on my IWCs, it does take a bit more effort.

What do u mean - the hands dont line up with the hours?

Do you have other watches with screw in crowns.....they need a little experience.....to avoid crooss threading back up the crown a little to engage the threads before turning home. If you know what I mean.

If you still have problems get the supplier to send another.

My crown is a little rough to screw back down. But I'm not following you about the hands not lining up. What I do with fickle crowns is I back up the crown against the thread until I feel it click, I know at that point that I'm lined up properly and I won't cross thread it. Post some pics so we can see what you mean regarding the hands.

Go to a local independent watchsmith....a small job for a good watchsmith.

i received mine today also and i can't screw the crown back down. i have worn a blister on my thumb and finger messing with it. no matter what i do it won't screw back down, it just stops. also when trying to set the time/ date or wind it is very stiff like something is in a bind. i have sent the dealer a message. i don't know what is wrong but something is defiantly not right.

After about a week mine stopped. I took it to my local "guy" and he fixed it for 30.00. A small price to pay. I'd rather do that then send it back, wait for the dealer to look at it and send me another. The crown on the other hand is worth sending it back for.
