I need some help please experts. This is a movement in a DSSD Blue that I am thinking of buying from another forum. I believe it is a clone. It is being advertised as a Swiss. A member on the other forum says it's Swiss, because the "gears have holes." I'm looking at the single slot by the shock jewel and what appears to be a flat plate piece that is curved in a Swiss. Thoughts @Raddave @occb2 @Thehitman @xj4sonx @trailboss99 Ko67

Tucker I think this is clone based on the same thing you stated, plus the engravings look off to me. Better than some clones, but still not as crisp as gen ETA, but I am a novice at this.

Couldn't be any more clone than that one. Hangzhou 6311 I believe.

What's the significance of the gears having holes? I've seen Swiss and clones with gears with holes.

that is for sure a clone, as far as the holes, i dont think the gears have that big of a diffy but the clone autowind bridge is a smidge larger, which make the reverser holes look smaller....or not visable at all

The holes or lack of them was a good tell 5 or 6 years ago but not any longer. Plus you can get ETA gears with or without the extra holes. When they added more jewels, from 18 to 21 to 25, that's where most of them went to, the autowind gear wheels.

Clone, and if that's a Swiss it's a bad quality Swiss which I will avoid.

Clone based on the X by the rotor, the swiss would have more dimple flower like look on the edge of the X.
