Hey guys, just got a kw 382 with the standard distressed leather calf and am wondering how this would hold up in water swimming or in the shower. The strap is very new lookig and kind of shiny so if it'll get a bit more distressed I won't mind. Has antyone got one of these wet, do they get fully ruined or are they okay?

My first tought, before talking about the strap, will definetly go to the watch.
Are you SURE that your watch can go underwater without problems? Have you pressure tested it after you bought it?

Anywhere I read about it, everyone claims KW 382 is waterproofed directly from a factory.

Getting more distressed is one thing. Having the seams come apart is another. I would highly discourage anyone to swim with a leather strap.

Watchguy is right, I would have had the watch confirmed first. Not just hearsay.

If bought directly from Kuvarsit, yes it is water proof. The strap on the other hand, no. Tootall is right, it will dissolve under water. Get coramid or rubber for swimming/diving. Personally I use french ammo canvas for water activities.

There are leather dive straps that are designed for water use. But I imagine pool chemicals would be extremely harsh on the leather. Check out Kodiak and PAV by Mario Paci. These are fine for ocean and lake swimming.

Other wise get this:

and add this: (you need the 20mm, not the 22)

it looks like this: (awesome)
