Acquired this beauty recently in the sales forum and thought I'd be happy with it just as is which was already pretty remarkable. But, of course the itch to improve it was too much. With so many new gen parts already installed from an outward aesthetic standpoint and so many gen movement parts installed, there was really only two things to essentially bring the "exterior" of the VSF base watch up to "gen-like" status. So, I added a gen bezel and insert and sourced a new gen 97200 Glidelock bracelet. Below is a list of the gen parts that went into this beauty. The only work done by me was the bezel/insert swap to gen which was surprisingly easy to accomplish. The biggest difference was the gen bracelet. I've owned several ARF/CLEAN Glidelocks and they were the best of the reps ones I've had but none of them were as smooth and comfortable on the wrist than the gen. It's NOTICEABLY more comfortable to wear and a welcome addition. Wish my photos could do this beauty justice! She's a stunner live.

- Blistered gen dial
- Blistered gen hands
- Used gen crystal
- Blistered gen crown
- Blistered balance/bridge
- Blistered reversing wheels
- Blistered parts to convert 3135 to 3130 with one-pull crown
- Gen bezel and insert
- Gen 97200 bracelet
- Blistered gen pallet fork + escape wheel
- Blistered barrel with mainspring

is there a good source for a genuine dial? I have researched this forum, but there are so many threads to filter.

That’s a gorgeous piece you’ve got there – wear it with pride!
But let’s be honest, it’s also teetering on the edge of horological madness. Have you considered therapy? 😅

I’m on board with the bracelet and maybe the hands, but the rest? That’s strictly loupe-only territory, my friend.

Very nice. Next time you have work done to it, consider getting that Rehaut polished.

Member sales and trade are here under watch parts and accessories. You can also look on Chrono 24 to find dials, hands, various gen parts etc.

I definitely am considering doing that as well. I know there are some trusted watchmakers who do it here but I haven't felt the urge yet to research and take the plunge. Externally, I think that's the last thing I can do to it at this point so I may as well go all the way with it at some point.

Wearing this beauty IS my therapy!! It's definitely a case of OVER compensation, but I've admired incredibly built superfrankens here before and when the opportunity arose I took the plunge!
