I have a Skyland V2 on SS and a Skyland V1 (with fixed 3 o'clock dot) on rubber on the way to my house. I would like to take the best parts from each and make a SUPER Skyland and then give the remaining watch away to a friend. Here is my question:

What parts do I want to use from each watch?

Thanks for the input!!!

Both are so close the swap is hardly worth it for the money invested, IMO...but to each his own :)
I own the V2 on bracelet and I'm content with it's small flaws.

There's been suggestions that:
- the dial from V1 is slightly better and more defined, easpecially dial print
- bezel from V1 has deeper and sharper hash markers and numbers, but missing the "B" stamp
- chrono pushers slightly longer on V1
- caseback engravings a tad nicer on V1
- mov't rotor on V1 comes engraved and decorated with Breitling Cal 13 insignia etc.

cheers,

Also, on the v1; the date of manufacture stamp is believable

the v2 crystal has better AR

Cool, yeah it seems the date formula on V2 says 2016 as a year of production...LOL!

I would use the V1 case and the V2 internals... the dial printing on the V1 but you have the bad lume dot... unless you got the one that is fixed...

Interesting...the V1 Skyland I just bought from Angus has the "B" engraved on the bezel.

The V1's DO have the Breitling B on the bezel.
I think that for the V1 bezel the lume dot marker has not been positioned perfectly flush (you do have to scrutinise it though) I at first thought it was just my watch but it is evident on my friends V1 (PVD). He just recently got the V1 'PVD', the black is already coming off  and he keeps running the chrono (all the time!!!) despite me advising him not to

Ive never seen the V2 but certainly comparing the V1 blue face dial to my friends blackfaced V1 (again the PVD), the numbers are much better defined on mine compared to his, on his they LOOK pressed, whereas on mine they look nicely defined, sharp. WHy this is I dont know..

Have fun deciding!!
