Hi guys,May i ask how long does your lume last. Mine lumes nicely if i deliberately charge it. But under natural circumstances if lumes nicely for like 10 mins and then no more shine. Is this normal? If so can anyone suggest how do i get a better lume that will last awhile, It just gives me the high when i see my watch luminating in the dark.Thanks for your time.

Super -Luminova Question

Same here... maybe 10 minutes or less depending on source of light hitting it. Going from outside to inside lights up REAL nice. Indoor light bulbs not as bright. Curious on how long the Lume last on a Gen myself.
Wonder if the chemical mixture of the lime they use is mixed incorrectly. although i couldn't imagine that the Rep factories know the exact makeup of the chemicals in the Gen Dial Lume to be 100% correct.
I think it's like coca cola recepture, many companies can create similiar taste but never exact the same, original one is protected by the patent and hold deep inside the fort knox

Ask Vac -- he'll make it happen. And btdubs -- 1-2 hours is a little generous for gens. 30 minutes is a reasonable expectation. A few of mine (PAM's, Rollies & Omegas) have gone longer, but not by much. If it's a **** hair longer than after you received your first drink at a restaurant, consider it a success.

If I would want a rep pam with sandwich dial with the best lume (in terms of intensity and long lasting), is there a certain pam model from a specific Maker I should be looking for?
Or do all recent reps with "super luminova" have the same best possible lume?
Has anyone made lume comparisons on rep pams? Super luminova vs non-Super luminova? Sandwich vs sausage?

I'll find the pics, but I have a comparison between a gen sandwich dial against a relume I did a few years ago. Day look and glow were spot on.
Great quality long lasting 'lume compounds' cost money. A lot of money. So they 'cut' it down with 'cornmeal and sugar' to stretch it further. Gens use the un-adultered stuff, so there is a difference !
The only rep PAM I've had with "mind-blowing torch" lume has been the Noob 292J -- all of my keepers have been sent to Vac for a full relume or to at least have the hands match the dial because I'm anal about that. My advice is not to expect it out of the box, and be pleasantly surprised when it meets expectations. Otherwise, engage a trusted modder here with making it right.

Yes, then there's the option of re luming. Would be very interesting to se a comparison, before- and after relume.
I've read of Vacs re lume and understand its good. Is it both more intense and longer lasting? Cost?
Yes Vacs re-luming is great........... Some time ago Cwazy, a great member of this forum also did great luming. He has since 'put it on hold' to pursue and finish his medical studies and becoming a great neuro surgeon. It was great practice for him before touching on a human brain !! I and everyone here wish him all the best !!
