Well ive seen tons of franken watches 2,5k plus, alone datejusts. Crazy part prices, crazy labour prices.
I think people will choose either price point. Both have their benefits to be nicely weighed up.
Patrick's price point seems beautiful and well worth a look at, but I noticed Patrick use a used rollie winding crown on someone's watch that was missing some metal to it's outermost fascia and didn't screw down properly against the case. This wasn't disclosed to the buyer except I noticed it via their QC photos. A stock crown would've benefited the watch better in that case. But the buyer was happy regardless. So for some users, it might not be the best option. For others it could be wonderful.

(*Crown didn't screw down properly for the stock tube no longer suiting the gen crown.)

Haha. You can also choose not to buy the gen crown. The price of the gen crown is 150USD. You can certainly catch my mistake this time, but I sold more than 50 franken dj and the buyers were very happy. There will be more franken watches with better prices in the future.

My only criticism was that you did not disclose to your buyer that you were adding a crown that had outer surface damage (although I had noticed it in your QC pic). And that you did not disclose to your buyer that you would be using the gen crown on a stock casetube, meaning it did not screw down properly.. to me it was a strange choice for you to use a gen crown on a stock tube and not explain to your buyer that it does not secure down against the case, but I also understand that your buyer was very happy with their purchase regardless.
I however would've felt disappointed if it had been me.
So I think it's important that people do their due diligence, that's all. It's all well and good adding 'gen' parts to the shopping list for their franken, but most people would anticipate a use of genuine parts would be some form of upgrade to their watch. Not a downgrade for the functionality being less well.

@xingpatrick Anyhow, I sounded quite serious in my comment there. I hadn't meant to sound serious. I just wanted to share that all pricepoints and all sellers of frankens have their pros and cons. All can be good. Wishing you a lovely holiday season.

Hi patrick. i sent you a message on whatsapp a month back inquiring about a modded build but never received a response after an initial response. Do you have the bandwith to do new mods currently or are too busy? Thanks.
