Hi,

I came to this forum interested in breitling, bregut and patek Philippe...

However... After spending a bit of time on TD sites and the forum reading up I very nearly bought a Jaeger Geographique (and still might) I began wondering what all the fuss was with Panerai. Constantly getting talked about, bigged up... I assumed Rolex would have been the talk of the town but no! Its pam.

Well, I had a wee look at pams just out of curiosity and to be honest, I didn't see the attraction. So I continued looking at the more classic designs I was looking at.

But now... I am feeling the love! I'm all in!

I am on the verge of purchasing... Just need to decide on which. I am loving the P.999 movement and the v6f best editions on pure time website. 336, 512 or 513... I must decide. Cant afford them all! Hmmm...

Damn you panarai! My head has been turned!

I'm having the same experience you are! I came here for Omega and didn't see the Pam appeal until I came across the Bronzo, which led to a reading of Ale's Pam guide. Before I knew it, I was sketching out 3 Pam models to compare with my wrist size.

anyone know what kind of Pam that is or is it a fantasy? I wasn't able to find any other dial that has the 9 and the hour clock without a date wheel.

A horrible fantsy to be exact.I'd suggest you get a beginner PAM from the TDs than waste the money and your potential PAM rep ownership experience. But for a little more you can go up to a PAM111 N series V3 Super Rep.

Do you have a link to that?

Just go to the TD section, select the one which looks the best for you (take some time to read the comments to make your decision), contact him and ask about a PAM 111 N series V3.
I think most of the TD (maybe all of them) should be able to get that PAM 111.

That's it.

Welcome to the crazy addiction! lol I said the same thing when I started as well. Now I own a handful of Pams and they dominate my daily rotation. The clean and classic design that is very adaptable based on strap choice make them a sensible choice. Any you don't get that stinky eye like when someone spots that crown. lol While some Pam models like the 243 can where chunky due to the height, diameter wise they wear well...even on small wrists. Some models, like the 372 in 47mm, while big don't feel as big as they are.

When you find a model you like read about it in Ale's Pam review guide. Then you can make an intelligent decision on which version best fits your needs and budget. Also be open to acquiring a nice custom strap if leather is your choice over rubber or the few models available with bracelet. Leather rep straps aren't always the most comfortable. Some of the strap makers in this community do amazing work which will definitely enhance your Pam experience and you can find some good deals if you read up and know what you are looking for. Don't be afraid to check out the M2M area.

Cheers

Thanks. I'm going to go with the 512 for now.

To be honest, I really fancy a 441 ceramic but we'll see how it goes. There's a panerai dealer in Edinburgh so I might nip up there for a gander this weekend if I have time.

How did I end up wanting a collection of pams!?!? weird.
