Submersible Crown Function Rep Vs. Gen ?

Ok so i am curious on the difference between crown functions. I know on a Gen you can pull back on crown and cycle through the hours one hour at a time. Can't seem to do the same on my Seagull 571. What are the functions of each pull of the crown Rep vs. Gen ?

No comparison as the A7750 on the reps is not the same as the P9000 on the gen movement. Same with the ST2555.

On rep:
1st position : Date adjust
2nd position : Time setting

On gen:
1st position : Manually wind mainspring
2nd position : Independently adjust hour hand; date can move forward or backward
3rd position : Time setting; seconds reset to zero
