Submariner VSF Prices Differentiation

Just pulled the trigger on a Sub No Date 124060, from NecoClock, and I'm feeling pretty good about the purchase (around $470 after shipping). However, I am curious why TD prices for this particular VSF Sub are all over the place. I've seen it as high as $600+ But they are all from the same factory, right? Should I be worried I went with one of the TDs who was offering the Sub at a cheaper price, vs. someone like Ctime or GeekTime? Are quality levels vastly different, even within the same factory?

All same factory. If you want cheapest probably Hont or Anidiot here. Anidiot is particularly good. Hont less so lol.

I shopped around all the TDs I could find, both here, and /r/reptime. NecoClock had stellar reviews from what I could find, and was certainly one of the cheapest in terms of VSF reps. QC photos looked very good.

Just... FYI for you... I know it may sound nitpicky.

"TD" in this forum means dealers backed by this forum. That means that if you have an issue or something the moderators can step in and help resolve this issue. Of course read their Terms and Conditions to know their policies before hand.

Anybody not on the RWI TD list, they can be trustworthy, sure, but they are not backed by the forum. So if you have an issue with NecoClock or GeekTime (both are reliable), well, the forum can't help you.

Nowadays the term TD is very diluted due to Reddit and all that crap, but there is a real meaning to the term. Newbies always get this wrong.

It’s always a question of risk management.

As long as you know what you are doing, and that you bear the consequences good or bad, you do you.

As an example, I am waiting for parts from a yupoo seller from whom I have bought quite a lot. The lady? communication has been spotty these last few months after a long absence. Money sent, local EU tracking received but it’s been a month. Maybe my order is lost in triangle limbo, maybe she never shipped, no clue…but that risk is 100% on me

The TD here have reputation and the balance system of RWI. They are way more expensive than yupoo or wechat sellers, but you are quasi guaranteed to get the exact watch you ordered

Makes complete sense. I took a gamble. But hopefully it pays off. Probably should have run my QC photos through here first, but the Dealer was very communicative and helpful. And I like that he allowed me to do a refundable deposit first of like 50 bucks, granted, I am sure others do the same. Will pray I was just more curious if VSF has a knack for having varying degrees of quality.

No but rep sellers have varying degrees of shadiness

You also have to know some of these non TDs they are taking stocks from wholesalers and NOT direct Factories as they have no direct contacts or access to them. So in some cases, they dont even know there are such things like fake VSF or fake Noob stocks lurking around with same factory stickers etc.

Just be careful.

Many thanks, to everyone here. I appreciate the honesty and straightforwardness. Got my watch 2 days ago. I really love it. I hope it's a REAL VSF, but so far, it looks and feels amazing.

if it has VS movement inside, it would be very weird if it wouldn't be a real VSF.
I went with the date version a few years ago, since I was single then, still love it, only the movement probably needs replacement.
