Nice for those wanting to learn to do it themselves instead of spending 100-220$ to have a modder do it [emoji106]

Id advise not going to that modder if they're charging that for a simple swap

Didn't know it was that easy! Had to use a press to even get some Seiko bezels re-attached, good to know. Thanks for sharing!

The video from the first post has to be about the gen or something.
I disassembled a rep and there is no way to push the bezel back with the hands only.
Found this excellent thread by @mike00 who used a press for that job.

Of course you can push the bezel back on a rep Sub by hand. It's pretty easy. But it requires that the plastic bezel retainer ring is correclty in place within the bezel.

rep or gen can be pressed on using your fingers pretty easy.

if its requiring a press, theres a chance the bezel gasket is screwed up. And using a press will only confound the issue.

Hmm, I have a crpo with a tiny bit of a bezel insert alignment issue...I wonder if the same method applies

If it's a small alignment issue you can use a hairdryer to heat up the insert glue. Wear gloves with friction & over-correct the insert, as it will move back a hair when the glue resettles. This saves you from popping the whole bezel assembly off.

It is a very small alignment issue and I thought the hairdryer method would fix but it didn't..or I simply couldn't? I didn't heat it for 10 minutes as some threads suggests as I heated it for a few minutes and stopped bc the watch head was super hot already and I was afraid of messing up the dial (shall i simply keep it under the hot air longer?). The glue didn't give in at all in my case...it is really a tiny tiny misalignment and hot air solution would really be perfect if it worked :/

I have had all kinds of problems with my noob v7...I assumed I could remove the bezel as I would GEN, just like the aforementioned video...so many problems, first the crystal stayed with the bezel when I popped it off...long story short noob v7 bezel assembly is NOT GEN spec

Okey, I wasn't thinking about the gasket as have been focused on this steel (tension?) ring.

Is it in a correct position now?
What's the best way to reinstall:
- first, ring into the bezel and all of that pressed on the case?
- or other way round, the ring on the case and then press the bezel?
Thanks

The metal retaining ring must be removed from the bezel. To install it on the case you have to put the crystal gasket and crystal on the mid case then press the retaining ring. You need a special die to do this and it is easy to damage the ring gasket or case if you don't know what you're doing. Here is a diagram of how it is installed.

Deassebly was an easy job. Used knife to lift the bezel and it came off with that ring. but you know i am a super-strongman, still can't press it back by hands lol.

It's Bp not Noob. Do have v7 bezel and insert, so once I find new balls&springs will try to swap v7 here.
