Sub 16610 without cyclops

I'm done waiting for a decent SD so I'm toying with the idea of just removing the cyclops from my Noob 16610 ETA clone. I've read of a few people who have done this to their gen 16610s to clean up the face (I know traditionalists will be agast!).

Can anyone who has done this please post some pics to see what the end result looks like...

Those guys on TRF are F'ing mental. Some of the mods are ok but others WTF were they thinking?? That 16613 with the ruby dial is horrible.

BLASPHEMY!! How could you ever consider corrupting such a classic? Every other Rolex diver has a cyclops, the SD is the only saving grace for those of us who don't like the "bubble"....

Just kidding, the one in thread with a cyclops didn't look too bad. I thought it was just another sub until I looked closer.

But I have to agree with you.
A SD with a cyclop would look as irregular as a Sub without one.
I'm not saying either would look better or worse...just irregular.

I took the cyclops off of my first rep sub (bought from a non TD cartel site), and it looked OK. I didn't remove it so much because I really WANTED a sub without the cyclops, but because the cyclops was had a pretty weak mag. I removed mine by (slowly) chipping it away with a generic safety razor blade. I'll try to upload some pics tonight.

The sd hasn't cyclops due to the fat crystal...

I removed the cyclop from my invicta pro diver using the vid that kinstontine posted. It literally took 3 seconds to get off, and now looks better than with the crooked cyclop it had.

As you can see, I'm not a photographer, but I said I'd try to post some photos of my "work" and wanted to make good on that intention. There is lots "wrong" with this sub, and I've used it for building/modding another 16610 I've since purchased (hence there's no crown on this case), but you can get the gist from these pics. Hope they're somewhat helpful.
