Regardless of the moment, or how stripped it is (even down to a base plate), everything slips out of this movement holder. I may be using it wrong, but I think usage would be pretty common sense. The nylon construction does not seem to grab the metal at all, so when there is even just a little pressure, the movement pops out.

Anyone have any experience with these?

I hear you here, I have experienced the same, all its good for is securing a movement dial down, having the movement holder hold/clamp to the dial, this is all its really good for imo, and in truth, perfect for holding the dial for any dial work you need too, its useless for holding any movement thats for sure!.

For good movement holders, stick with SLICK, or Bergeon 4040 normal nickel/stainless.

Neat, thanks SSTEEL, I though I was possibly just stupid.

This is reassuring.
